Cricut Contributing Artist series: Tetiana Semenova

Tetiana Semenova, a dynamic artist from Canada, has been weaving her creative magic for three years now. She brings to life unique and personalized artwork that reflects her passion for creativity and family. In this artist spotlight, we’ll dive into Tetiana’s journey to becoming a Cricut Contributing Artist and where she finds her artistic style.

How did you find Cricut, and why did you join the Contributing Artist Program? 

Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, Cricut came into my life like a breath of fresh air. I’ve always been drawn to creativity, especially in art, and Cricut provided the perfect platform for me to express and share my artistic flair. The Contributing Artist Program was the ideal channel to spread my creativity to a broader audience. 

Where did your artistic journey begin? 

Three years ago, a friend nudged me to explore my creative side. I took the plunge, tried my hand at various artistic endeavors, and instantly fell in love with the process. 

What does creativity mean to you? 

Creativity isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a way of life. It’s the essence that fuels my everyday existence. 

Who or what inspires you to create, and why? 

My greatest inspiration comes from my wonderful children. They infuse me with boundless energy and a constant stream of new ideas. Nature is also a significant muse. Being outdoors exposes me to a myriad of colors and elements that find their way into my art. 

What is your favorite type of craft, or what project have you created that you are most proud of? 

Painting is my ultimate favorite craft. With Cricut, I can paint and cut unique logos and applications on various items for my children. It adds a personalized touch that makes each piece unique. 

Describe your artistic style in one word and explain. 

I never labeled my style, but it’s probably best described as “stylized.” I love adding a special touch to things for my children, balancing between uniqueness and a hint of realism. 

What is your spirit animal, and why? 

It’s hard to pinpoint, but I resonate most with a cat. Cats have a calm and independent nature that aligns with my personality. 

What makes you laugh the most? 

Watching a good comedy with my loved ones always brings joy and laughter. 

Are you a clean or messy person? 

I appreciate cleanliness, but maintaining it can be quite challenging with children around!
