Cricut Joy update: App changes ahead

Transitioning from the app for Cricut Joy

The Cricut Joy app will no longer be supported and is scheduled for discontinuation. This decision was made to enhance your overall user experience with Cricut. While we have a soft spot for the Cricut Joy app, we observed lower adoption rates and some feature redundancy when compared to our primary app, Design Space. Rather than dividing our efforts between two platforms, we’re focusing on enhancing Design Space to be the ultimate creative hub.  

You can still use the Cricut Joy app until February 26, 2024, giving you ample time to transition. We’ve prepared a few guides to help you get started with Design Space, which you can find on Cricut Learn. 

Cricut Joy app in (App) stores 

Mark your calendars for November 16, 2023. That’s when we plan to bid farewell to the Cricut Joy app on Google Play and the App Store. After this date, you won’t be able to download it.  

Also, please note that content from our Help Center, YouTube channel, Cricut Learn courses, and blog related to the Cricut Joy app will no longer be accessible. 

Cricut Access subscription and joining the Design Space community 

Great news! Your subscription is still golden. You’ll continue enjoying all the perks of your Cricut Access subscription. And here’s the cherry on top: in Design Space, you’ll have access to exclusive subscriber-only features like Monogram Maker and Automatic Background Remover on image uploads. 

Uploaded projects and images 

If you have saved projects or uploaded images in the Cricut Joy app, you won’t be able to move them over to Design Space. To keep your projects and images, you’ll need to recreate them and manually upload the images into Design Space.
