We’re absolutely thrilled with the personalised nursery crafts transformation by talented Cricut influencer, Jess Jackson! From adorable Animal Wall Art to a unique personalised baby vest, Jess has truly brought her baby’s nursery to life with her crafty creations. She’s shared each of her fabulous projects with us, so you can get inspired and craft your own special touches for your little one’s space.

How I used Cricut to personalise my baby nursery room

I’m Jess, known as @craftwithjess on Instagram and TikTok. As a first-time Mum, who loves making special occasions in life even better by creating anything and everything with my Cricut machines.

I started my Cricut journey in 2020 by making all the decorations for my wedding, so of course when it came to having our first child, I knew I wanted to transform her nursery with personalised makes!

Rainbow Cushion in Design Space

Our journey to parenthood was a difficult one; our baby girl is our rainbow baby which is why her nursery is full of (you guessed it) beautiful rainbows!

There are so many lovely rainbow images on design space, it was hard to choose one! I used a Cricut cushion cover blank, the skin tone sampler iron on, gold iron on and gold glitter iron on for this project and I LOVE the result!

Animal Wall Art in Design Space

I absolutely love cardstock projects, especially those which involve lots of layering to create a 3D effect. These animal images were the perfect choice for nursery wall art and they go really well with the overall colour theme which is neutral and pastel colours. I used my Cricut maker 3 to cut the different layers and then used glue and double sided foam pads to stick everything together. When hung, they really do make my personalised nursery crafts standout.

Teddy Comforter in Design Space

For the teddy comforter I used my Cricut joy machine to cut the gold iron on and then applied it using my Cricut Easypress 2. I find the Cricut heat guide really useful when applying iron on to various materials, and the finished effect on this cute teddy comforter is great!

Baby Vest in Design Space

Personalised clothing is an absolute must for a new baby! I made a baby vest for my niece just over three years ago, so it was really exciting to make one for our daughter too.

Similar to the teddy bear comforter, I used my Cricut joy machine to cut the gold iron on, gold glitter iron on, then applied with my Easypress 2.

Initial Shadow Box in Design Space

The nursery wouldn’t be complete without a personalised frame featuring our baby girls’ first name initial! Again this is a great example of layering cardstock which was all cut using my Cricut maker 3.

This type of project would be a lovely gift for a friend or family member who has recently had a baby! You could also include the date and time of birth, the baby’s weight and full name.

Making all of these projects and decorating the nursery made me so excited to meet our baby girl! It started as a plain white room which was transformed into a colourful rainbow theme. The ‘me-made’ projects really make it all special!

Our baby ended up coming early so luckily this was all ready for her arrival (although she won’t be sleeping in here until after 6 months). I plan on further enhancing the decor in this room with many more Cricut made projects in the months to come!

All of the designs used as part of this nursery transformation are images from Cricut access on design space. Don’t forget to sign up for your free trial of Cricut access – it has everything and more that you could ever need to make your own personalised projects for special occasions.
