Make It Forward – Official Rules
ELIGIBILITY. The “Make it Forward” Initiative (Initiative) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and Canada (excluding Quebec and Puerto Rico), age 18 and over as of the date of entry. Employees of Cricut, Inc. (Cricut) or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, members of each of their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to participate. The initiative is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
HOW TO ENTER. Enter for your chance to be selected for the “Make it Forward” initiative, visit cricut.com/blog/make-it-forward and complete the submission form. There is no purchase necessary to submit a nomination. The initiative will accept entries on a rolling basis until otherwise stated. Submissions will be eligible to win for up to six months from the date they are received by Cricut.
SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS. The Recipients will be selected by a Cricut Selection Committee made up of Cricut employees who will review the submissions monthly and make selections based on stories that align with Cricut’s core values and representing a variety of causes. As part of this program, Cricut’s Selection Committee may also identify and select qualified recipients independently from submissions received. Upon selection, Recipients will be notified via email and/or phone. In the event the Recipient does not respond within ten (10) days of contact, the donation will be forfeited, and a new Recipient will be selected. If the donation is not claimed or is returned as undeliverable, then Recipient’s right to the donation shall be forfeited and the donation award will be void and an alternate Recipient may be selected from eligible nominees.
- DONATION PACKAGES. A minimum of one (1) Recipient per month will receive a product donation consisting of one of the following bundles which will be chosen by Cricut:
- Cricut Maker® 3 + Everything Materials Bundle a$668.86 USD value ($857.96 CAD value for Canadian recipients);
- Cricut® Explore 3 + Everything Materials Bundle a $568.86 USD value ($711.40 CAD for Canadian recipients);
- Cricut Joy™ + Insert Card Bundle a $255.88 USD value ($320.00 CAD for Canadian recipients);
- Cricut Joy™ + Essentials Bundle a $240.92 USD value ($301.29 CAD for Canadian recipients);
- Cricut Joy™ + Smart Vinyl Bundle a $247.90 USD value ($310.02 CAD for Canadian recipients); or
- Cricut Joy™ + Label Making Bundle a $249.91 USD value ($312.53 CAD for Canadian recipients).
Cricut is not obligated to award more than the product donation specifically listed herein.
AGREEMENT TO RULES. By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules and agree to accept the decisions of Cricut as final and binding.
PUBLICITY RELEASE. By participating in the Initiative, each entrant grants Cricut the right to use each such entrant name, story, biographical information, photographs and/or statements in any and all media for any purpose, including, without limitation, advertising and promotional purposes and each entrant hereby releases Cricut from PUBLICITY RELEASE. By participating in the Initiative, each entrant grants Cricut the right to use each such entrant name, story, biographical information, photographs and/or statements in any and all media for any purpose, including, without limitation, advertising and promotional purposes and each entrant hereby releases Cricut from any liability with respect thereto, except where prohibited. For submissions that include personal information of another organization or individual, you represent and warrant that you have explicit consent and authority to share any and all personal information for Cricut’s use, storage, and disclosure for business purposes. TAXES. Any valuation of a donation awarded to a Recipient will be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Recipient is solely responsible for reporting any and all applicable taxes related to the donation and paying any expenses associated with any donation. Any person receiving over six hundred dollars ($600.00) in donations will receive an IRS form 1099 or similar tax form.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The specifics of the donation shall be solely determined by Cricut. Recipients may be required to complete an assignment of rights in the entry, an affidavit or declaration of eligibility, a waiver of liability and, where lawful, publicity release, which must be returned to Cricut within ten (10) days. Cricut reserves the right to suspend and/or cancel the Initiative or change any element hereof, with or without notice, at any time, due to printing, computer or network errors, or other mistakes in the production or operation of the Initiative. All decisions of Cricut and judges are final and binding on all matters relating to the Initiative. Cricut reserves the right to disqualify in its sole discretion any person tampering with the entry or voting process, or who violates these Official Rules in any way. If you are a resident of the United States, the Initiative is governed by the laws of the United States. If you are a resident of Canada, the Initiative is governed by the laws of Canada.
