Meet the Contributing Artist: Eleonora

Eleonora, a passionate creator and artist in Italy, has had a lifelong love for crafting. Known for her sweet personality and a style that exudes charm and simplicity, she has been inspiring others since 2011 through her vibrant YouTube channel, Sweetbiodesign. As the very first Cricut ambassador in Italy, Eleonora played a pivotal role in introducing Cricut to the Italian community in 2019. With a degree in Design earned in 2012, she blends technical knowledge with her innate creativity, specializing in scrapbooking and creating beautiful, heartfelt photo albums.

How did you find Cricut, and why did you join the Contributing Artist Program? 

When Cricut first arrived in Italy in 2019, I had the honor of becoming its very first ambassador. Through my tutorials on the Sweetbiodesign YouTube channel, I introduced Cricut to the Italian audience. 

Where did your artistic journey begin? 

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember—it’s always been a part of who I am. In 2012, I earned a degree in Design, combining my artistic passion with technical knowledge. A year prior, in 2011, I started my YouTube channel to share my creativity with the world. Since then, I’ve built a vibrant, active, and close-knit community. 

What does creativity mean to you? 

Creativity is an integral part of who I am and how I live my life—it’s my way of being. It has the power to unite, heal, and build communities across the globe, transcending every barrier. 

Who or what inspires you to create? 

I have always been a creator, starting in my bedroom where I spent countless hours crafting alone. I made clothes for my Barbies, shaped objects out of paper, and eventually found myself captivated by the world of scrapbooking as an adult. Among all the inspiration I’ve drawn from, my favorite artist is Heidi Swapp. 

What is your favorite type of craft, and what project are you most proud of?

My greatest passion is scrapbooking, especially creating photo albums. For years, I’ve been crafting albums for myself and others, and it’s a love that has stood the test of time. Each album feels like a treasure, capturing memories and telling stories in a way that brings joy and connection. 

Describe your artistic style in three words and give an explanation.

My art is cute because it reflects my naturally sweet personality. 

I love pastel colors; for me, they wrap everything in a sense of tenderness and charm. 

And my style is simple, just like me. I prefer clean, linear designs without unnecessary frills, letting the beauty of simplicity shine through. 

If you had to choose a color to describe yourself, what would it be?  

Pink! 

What is your spirit animal and why? 

 Definitely a cat. I feel a strong connection to felines because of their intuition, independence, and loyalty—they give their hearts to those they truly love. 

Favorite Cricut product and why?  

Maker 3 is my favorite! It’s incredibly versatile and allows me to create a wide range of projects with ease and precision.
