What makes Cricut AutoPress™ 2 different?
Bigger heat plate for bigger projects
The 15 in x 15 in size of our newest heat press means you can work with full-size graphics on a larger surface area, opening a world of creative possibilities. While the original Cricut AutoPress™ only had a 12 in x 15 in heat plate, and smaller heat presses often need multiple attempts to apply designs, Cricut AutoPress™ 2 delivers a larger heat plate with edge-to-edge even heat and consistent pressure for pro-quality results on the first go.
New slide-out design with adjustable pressure settings
The Cricut AutoPress™ 2 also switches from the hinging clamshell design of the original Cricut AutoPress™ to a new slide-out tray design. This new design allows for adjustable pressure settings from 44 lbs to 220 lbs, rather than the fixed pressure setting of around 50 lbs found in the original AutoPress™. Plus, the full slide-out tray makes it easy to load and position your project, perfect for frequent crafters and small businesses.

Cricut AutoPress™ 2 makes it easier than ever to make in batches with 4 customizable presets that let you save your most used settings for faster set up. Some common presets for temperature, time, and pressure settings are:
- For Puff Iron-On on a cotton blank: 270°F; 10 sec; 165 lbs
- For Iron-On on a cotton or polyester blank: 310°F; 15 sec; 220 lbs
- For DTF Transfers on a cotton or polyester blank: 350°F; 15 sec; 220 lbs
- For Infusible Ink™ on a polyester blank: 400°F; 60 sec; 220 lbs
Unlike our other Cricut heat presses — which only allow you to adjust time and temperature — Cricut AutoPress™ 2 gives you the power to adjust time, temperature, and precise pressure settings for each project to ensure vibrant, long-lasting results every time. And, after 15 minutes of idle time, the heat press automatically shuts off, so you enjoy making with added peace of mind.

Looking to work with larger designs? Cricut AutoPress™ 2 makes it happen. The 15 in x 15 in heat plate makes it easy to press larger apparel, like sweatshirts and extra-large T-Shirts, with auto-adjusting pressure to work with heavier materials up to 1.8 in thick.
For those ready to work with more advanced heat transfer materials, the Cricut Heat Guide gives you the exact temperature, time, and pressure settings needed to apply DTF Transfers, Infusible Ink®, sublimation prints, and special-effect Puff Iron-On.
Puff Iron-On and DTF Transfers both require extra pressure settings that were not possible with the original Cricut AutoPress™. Using manual pressure with a Cricut EasyPress® SE can achieve the correct amount of pressure, but because it is manual, results can be inconsistent. Without the right pressure, Puff Iron-On won’t “puff” correctly and will appear warped or “brainy,” while DTF Transfers will begin to wrinkle, crack, or peel. Cricut AutoPress™ 2 pressure settings allow you to get beautiful, consistent results every time.
