We went to IKEA and then had a craft day – here’s what happened.
Want some Cricut and IKEA project ideas? Like many of you, we love an IKEA haul. Combining your Ikea purchases with your Cricut machine is a lot of fun. We see many of you in our community using Cricut materials with your IKEA buys and we wanted in on the ‘Ikea Cricut Hack’ action too.
We went to our local IKEA and picked up some bargain items, perfect to help with home and office organisation. Then we spent the day personalising them.
Here’s what we made…
Personalised Stationery Organiser
Perfect for a stay-at-home office! We created an on-trend celestial look with vinyl stars cut with Cricut Smart Vinyl™. Adding a name makes it unique to you for that extra element of personalisation.
Personalised File Organisors
Whatever style you love to have in your space, you can decorate your way with your Cricut Machine. We created rainbow-themed and sunflower-themed file organisers using Smart Vinyl.
It was easy to create and apply to our box files and with the vast amount of images in Design Space as part of the Access Subscription, there is something for everyone’s tastes.
Makeup Organiser
Keeping makeup and makeup brushes tidy doesn’t have to be difficult …or boring!
Using Smart Vinyl, we created labels for each draw and then included lip images down the sides of the makeup drawers. We think the result is really fun!
Leopard Boxes
There are so many ways you could change these plain boxes into beautifully decorated ones. We wanted a jungle cat-themed box and used our Circut Joy™ to create these decals from vinyl.
You could personalise them with labels and use vinyl decals to create unique boxes to suit your style.
Labels For The Kitchen
Organising the kitchen is perfect for an IKEA haul and so easy to do with a Cricut machine. The Cricut Joy is the perfect option for labeling jars like the ones shown above. Keeping your spices and jars tidy is a great way to start organising your home and looks beautiful too. Personalise For Lunchtime
When it comes to work and school, personalising lunchboxes and bottles is great for the lunchtime rush. There will be no confusion over whose bottle is whose when your name is uniquely displayed. Decorating the lunchbox with your children’s favourtie characters might also help encourage eating every last bite from their lunchbox too!
Bathroom Basics
We didn’t leave out the bathroom either. This great value bathroom set was taken up a notch with these letter-style labels. This project took mere minutes, yet looks fantastic and will fit any bathroom colour scheme.
