International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is a global holiday celebrated annually to commemorate women’s cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements. Here at Cricut, we wanted to celebrate and empower women who have walked different life paths and demonstrate the positive effect that being creative can have on a person. To do so, we asked fifteen incredible women to tell us why they love being creative and what it means to them.


Emma Jewell is a British multi-crafter who has recently moved to Seattle, she creates glittery content for sassy and sparkly makers.


Primary school teacher, Sophia, is an avid crafter who helps to showcase how Cricut can be used in the classroom.


Home & DIY mad Tara demonstrates how to create rich and vivid makes for the home, inspired by animals and nature.


Laura, a digital creator and mum, depicts her fun and colourful life with her wife Kelly, son Jack and cocker spaniel Rosie.


Mum of four, Eimear, is a DIY mad and Cricut obsessed crafter from Ireland.


Ezinma is a wife and full-time mum who uses her platform as a creative outlet to talk about motherhood, fashion and home life.

Lover of all things floral, Laura creates craft tutorials and makes gifts and home & wedding décor.


Emma is a designer and maker dedicated to spreading positive and handwritten products and vibes.


Colourful creative Louisa focuses on making the most of what she’s got as she shares her loshe’s DIY and sustainability.


Rumana works as a doctor alongside being a sewer and crafter, she was also a quarter-finalist on the BBC’s The Great British Sewing in 2016.


Samantha is a vibrant creative devoted to making the world of crafts and sewing more accessible and inclusive.


Self-proclaimed sewing addict Jen is a dressmaker and crafter who shares her handmade wardrobe to help inspire others.


Duygu is a DIY Project Developer living in London who showcases her love of punch embroidery alongside other crafts.


DIYer Jessica uses her platform to showcase her home renovation skills and tempower women to take on their own power-tool projects.


Colourful crafter Paige Joanna spreads joy and positivity through her bright and fun lifestyle and magical makes.
