Noura, an elegant and artistic soul from the Middle East, is our featured artist this week. Her journey with Cricut is nothing short of magical, and her love for creating handmade, personalised gifts and party décor shines through her work. How did you find Cricut, and why did you join the Contributing Artist Program?

One magical day in 2018, I stumbled across a YouTube video of the Cricut machine, and it was love at first sight. At that time, it was still unavailable in my country, but I did the impossible to have it shipped to me from the US. I remember opening Design Space and wishing I was one of Cricut’s designers since I am a Graphic Designer who loves to craft. I jumped with happiness when CAP was introduced and have been waiting for this moment since I learned about Cricut!

Where did your artistic journey begin?

I’m a Graphic Designer with a deep love for handmade, personalised gifts and party theme décor. I have been crafting since a very young age, using traditional cutting methods until I found Cricut. It revolutionised my crafting process and allowed me to bring my ideas to life in a more intricate and detailed way.

What does creativity mean to you?

To me, creativity is the heartbeat of my craft. It is the fuel that ignites my imagination and allows me to transform simple materials into unique and meaningful creations. Creativity is the freedom to express myself and bring my ideas to life, infusing them with artistry and innovation.

Who or what inspires you to create, and why?

My friends and family inspire me. I love making them gifts and décor for their homes and kids. Their excitement when I make them something is fantastic, especially for the kids! Their joy and appreciation fuel my passion and drive to create even more.

What is your favorite type of craft, or what project have you created that you are most proud of?

I mainly love handmade, personalised gifts and party-themed décor. Cake toppers and iron-on projects are also on my top list. Each project holds a special place in my heart, but if I had to choose, I would say my personalised cake toppers bring me the most pride. They add a special touch to celebrations and make moments unforgettable.

Describe your artistic style in one word.

I have to use three words: elegant, artistic, and fun. My style combines elegance with a touch of artistry and fun. I love creating visually stunning pieces that bring joy and sophistication to any setting.

Are you a clean or messy person?

I’m OCD! My craft room is meticulously organized. It all started when Cricut got into my life; I labeled everything! Having a tidy and organized space helps me stay focused and creative.

What would it be if you had to choose a color to describe yourself?

I love soft pastel colors, but I adore anything white with gold accents as it gives elegance. I also love the color Teal. These colors resonate with my style and add a touch of grace and charm to my creations.

Favorite Cricut product and why?

Hands down, the Cricut Maker. It has an extraordinary place in my heart, although I have the Maker 3 and the Joy. Since the Maker was my first Cricut Machine, she is my baby. It opened up a world of possibilities for crafting and continues to be my go-to tool for creating intricate and beautiful designs.
