We all know that Christmas Day takes a lot of preparation. From gifts to home decor, to the main event of everyone sitting down at the dinner table. Christmas Day may vary for each household, but coming together and sharing a meal at the table is a tradition beheld by many.
We’ve pulled together some festive table inspiration to get you ready for the big day.
The Ultimate Christmas Setting
Catherine from Dainty Dress Diaries on Instagram recently took part in our Cricut Home Makeover and transformed a table into a festive-filled dinner setting perfect for Christmas.
Christmas Tree name place and napkin holder
Catherine used rich colours such as red, green, and gold to create a warm look perfect for offsetting the cold winter day.
We adore the Christmas tree name place and napkin wrap made with cardstock for each table setting.
We have shared these projects on Design Space so that you can save and make them too! Find the projects here.
To customise the name place, select ‘Customize’ and then edit the text layer to your desired name.
Table Center Piece
A Christmas table needs a beautiful centerpiece to create the jolly-holly wow factor. This decor type doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming. Catherine shared how adding a gold vinyl decal to her candle jars can create the perfect ambiance and complete the winter woodland look she was aiming for.

Please note, the vinyl decals adhered to the candles themselves are for decoration only and are not to be used.
Santa Tray
As much as the guests will love your incredible table decor, we cannot forget about Santa Claus. Create your own Santa tray for his much-deserved snacks and it is a cute home decor piece that gives you all the festive feelings.

Elf Lollipop Holder
The little ones (let’s face it…The adults too!) will love these cute elf lollipop holders. We made these from medium cardstock and our Cricut machine drew the elf’s features on too with a Cricut fine point pen. These are a delight on the Christmas table that adds some Christmas cheer.

Celestial Table Decor Ideas
We love the celestial style and it is a perfect theme for winter. Crescent moons and starbursts feature in the following table-setting ideas.
Celestial Name Place
Adding a bit of gold leaf to the moon shape really adds to the celestial and winter tones. This name place uses free shapes to create the look so anyone can make it. The text is a part of Cricut Access or can be purchased separately. You can save or make this project on Design Space here.
Celestial Christmas Cracker
Creating your own Christmas crackers is a lot of fun. The great thing about making your own is that you can keep them in theme and you can add little personal touches inside of each cracker. We used cardstock to create the cracker and used vinyl for the name and star decals. Save or make this project in Design Space here.
Moon and Star Napkin
We even added glitter iron-on to our napkins for an extra addition that wow any guest. We used a selection of moon and star images available in Cricut Design Space for decoration.
