DIY haunted house cloche to spookify your home
If you’re feeling a little eerie this Halloween season, this haunted house cloche is the perfect project to spookify your space! And my favorite part is that I used an old mac and cheese box, along with scraps of cardstock I’ve used in previous projects. Can you say an upcycling win!? Follow along to see how to make this haunted house and ghosts in a cloche.
How to make a DIY Haunted House Cloche

To start off, here are the list of materials I used to create this project:
Supplies needed
Step 1 – Design Space
In Design Space, size the project to your preference. Then follow the instructions Design Space provides, making sure to put your materials onto the correct Cricut Machine mat (LightGrip for cardstock and StrongGrip for the cereal box).

Step 2 – Cut
Once your material has been cut, remove the pieces from your mat. I like to use my spatula tool to help me remove intricate cuts from my mat.

Step 3 – Glue
Once you have all your pieces, the next step is gluing them together. Make sure the cereal box is the bottom layer, except in the case of the haunted house (black cardstock first, then cereal box, then gray cardstock).

Use hot glue to glue a bit of wire to the back of the three ghosts (this makes it appear like they are floating).

Use hot glue to glue down the other end of the wire to the back of the haunted house.
Step 5 – Add detail
Line the bottom of your cloche with black tissue paper and any other materials you have on hand to give it a spookier vibe.
Step 6 – Glue and assemble
Hot glue the haunted house, tree, and cat to the tissue paper. Place them so there is a little space between each.

Put the glass dome over the whole scene and display your cloche on the mantle or tabletop.
