Cricut Contributing Artist series: Giulia

With her love for all cute things and her passion for crafting, Giulia brings a unique charm to the Cricut Contributing Artist Program. Let’s dive into her artistic world and see what makes her creations so unique. 

How did you find Cricut, and why did you decide to join the Contributing Artist Program? 

A friend told me about Cricut and how fabulous this program is. What to say? I agree! The excitement and endless possibilities of creating with Cricut drew me in instantly. Joining the Contributing Artist Program was a perfect fit for my creative spirit. 

Where did your artistic journey begin? 

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Art has always been a part of my life, a way to express myself and bring my imagination to life. From doodling in my school notebooks to creating intricate designs, my passion for art has grown stronger. 

What does creativity mean to you? 

A quiet place. For me, creativity is a sanctuary where I can escape the noise of the world and immerse myself in the joy of making something beautiful. It’s my peaceful haven where ideas flow freely, and my imagination takes flight. 

Who or what inspires you to create, and why? 

Cartoons, comics, and TV series; these vibrant and imaginative worlds fuel my creativity and inspire me to bring my whimsical ideas to life. The characters, stories, and colorful visuals ignite my artistic spark and keep me motivated to create. 

What is your favorite type of craft, or what project have you created that you are most proud of? 

Keychains and bookmarks are my absolute favorites. There’s something magical about turning a simple idea into a tangible, functional piece of art. I’m incredibly proud of a series of keychains I designed inspired by popular cartoon characters. Each one captures the essence of the character and brings a little joy to everyday life. 

Describe your artistic style in one word. 

Cute, funny kawaii. I like kawaii things, and I often choose what to buy, what to play, and what to look at solely based on this criterion. My style is all about bringing a smile to people’s faces with adorable, whimsical designs that are full of personality. 

How would your friends describe you? 

Chaos. My friends would describe me as a whirlwind of energy and creativity. I’m always brimming with ideas, and my enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming, but it’s all part of my charm! 

What’s your favorite thing about being a Cricut Contributing Artist? 

The best part of being a Cricut Contributing Artist is seeing my designs being used and loved by people all over the world. It’s gratifying to know that my art brings joy to others and inspires them to create their beautiful projects.
