Create custom t-shirts and more with your original, freehand art!

15 January 2020

We invite all artists, doodlers, illustrators, note-writers, and more to try the latest from Cricut: Infusible Ink™ Freehand Markers. Now you can show off your original art permanently on t-shirts, tote bags, coasters, and baby body suits using the incredible Infusible Ink technology without ever needing to break out your cutting machine.

After overwhelming excitement and seeing people using the markers to write, draw, and even paint, we wanted to provide you markers that are truly designed for freehand use. These incredible markers allow you to create unique brush strokes and color, things that simply aren’t possible with a cutting machine!

Unbelievably You.

What’s more “you” than your own art, handwriting, sketches, or doodles? Truly custom projects are even easier now that you can draw straight onto laser copy paper and heat press onto any compatible blank. Below are a few projects from our very own Cricut Staff who got to test (play with…) this product before it launched!   Jodie H., Cricut Graphic Designer, drew these designs and used a BrightPad to mirror her text. For the coasters on the top row, she drew directly on an Infusible Ink sheet and then pressed all at once!

Make what matters with the permanence of Infusible Ink.

One project idea we absolutely love is using Infusible Ink Freehand Markers to preserve love notes like the one below. Simply size the note to what suits you, use a BrightPad to mirror the text, and enjoy that note from mom everyday, not just when you find it in a pile of other keepsakes!   We love using Freehand Markers to remind ourselves of special notes from loved ones by turning them into truly one-of-a-kind projects.

New to Infusible Ink? Here’s a great place to start!

Unlike the vinyl or heat transfer vinyl (HTV) process, where artwork is attached on top of a base material using adhesive, an Infusible Ink transfer actually becomes one with the material itself. The results are bright, beautiful, seamlessly smooth custom transfers that are peel-proof, flake-proof, and wash-proof. Watch what happened when we let a few Cricut DIYers create with Infusible Ink products for the first time.

As you start to experiment with Infusible Ink, we think these Infusible Ink Freehand Markers are an excellent place to start. Simply draw a doodle on laser copy paper and apply it to your Infusible Ink Compatible Blank according to the directions in the Cricut Heat Guide. For your first Infusible Ink project, you’ll need the following equipment. These Freehand Markers are not compatible with the cutting machines, and should only be used when drawing or tracing by hand.

We can’t wait to see what you create with your Infusible Ink Freehand Markers! Comment below on your project ideas and, as always, tag us at #CricutCreated!
