Father’s Day is quickly approaching and sometimes it can be a bit stressful trying to find the perfect gift for the father figure in your life. While store-bought gifts are always appreciated, there’s something truly special about a handmade gift that showcases your creativity and thoughtfulness. So fire up your Cricut machine because we’ve got five projects using Cricut’s new spring materials that any dad would be glad to get this year!
Father’s Day tie
This is knot your average tie! We used Reflective Iron-On on a plain dark tie so the chevron pattern is visible, yet subtle. Step out into the sun or use the flash on your camera, and this tie turns into a showstopper!
Custom hat
Custom hats make great gifts! They’re practical, stylish, and will make a great addition to any dad’s hat collection. To create this garage hat, we found a fun phrase in Design Space (#M2B5A18E6), cut the design on UV-Activated, Color-Changing Iron-On in blue and applied it on a plain hat. The design appears white, but when out in direct sunlight, it transforms to blue!
Dad mug
Need a gift for first-time dads? We’ve got you covered. If he’s a new dad, those coffee mugs might be put into overtime as he’ll probably need all the energy he can get. We used Heat-Activated, Color-Changing Vinyl on a mug blank to create this fun gift that transforms right before your eyes (just add hot liquid). Now anytime he pulls out his Level Up To Dad mug, he’ll get a good chuckle.
Outdoorsy wall art
If he’s an outdoorsy kinda guy, finding the right décor for his space indoors may be a little tough. With its neutral colors and nature accents, this bear wall art can be the perfect addition to any man cave or office. All you’ll need is a wooden plaque and Vinyl Sampler in Skin Tone shades. It’s a gift that is simple, but one he is sure to love!
Grill master t-shirt
Is your dad a self-proclaimed “Grill Master?” If so, create the perfect shirt for him using this Grill Master Supreme image (#M492471A4) in Design Space and iron-on vinyl.
