  • Striped pattern paper (1)
  • White cardstock (1)
  • Green cardstock (1)

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Recess cartridge
1. Crayons
a. Three black bases (2 ¾" <Crayon>)
b. Red crayon (2 ¾” Shift + <Crayon-s>)
c. Yellow crayon (2 ¾” Shift + <Crayon-s>)
d. Light blue crayon (2 ¾” Shift + <Crayon-s>)
2. Schoolhouse
a. Black base (8 ½" <SklHous>)
b. Light blue windows (8 ½” Shift + <House-s>)
c. Red house (8 ½” Layer + <SklHous>)
d. Yellow door/bell (8 ½” Layer+ Shift + <House-s>)
3. Title: School
a. Green title (3" <School>)
b. Red title/apple (3” Shift + <School-s>)
c. Light blue title (3” Layer + <School>)
d. Yellow title (3” Layer + Shift + <School-s>)
Use paper trimmer to cut one 3 ½" x 12" piece of striped pattern paper. Ink edges. Adhere to one 12" x 12" piece of light green cardstock to create base. Ink edges.
Use paper trimmer to cut one 7 ½" x 5 ½" piece of striped pattern paper. Ink edges. Adhere to layout.
Use paper trimmer to cut one 7 ¼" x 5 ¼" piece of white cardstock and one 7" x 5" piece of black cardstock. Ink edges. Layer together with one 6 ¾” x 4 ¾” photo. Attach ribbon. Adhere to layout.
Create crayons from cuts 1a-1d. Ink edges. Layer together. Use foam squares to adhere to layout.
Create schoolhouse from cuts 2a-2d. Ink edges. Layer together. Use foam squares to adhere to layout.
Create title from cuts 3a-3d. Ink edges. Use foam squares to layer together and adhere to layout.
Embellish as desired.

Step 2

Use paper trimmer to cut one 3 ½" x 12" piece of striped pattern paper. Ink edges. Adhere to one 12" x 12" piece of light green cardstock to create base. Ink edges.

Step 3

Use paper trimmer to cut one 7 ½" x 5 ½" piece of striped pattern paper. Ink edges. Adhere to layout.

Step 4

Use paper trimmer to cut one 7 ¼" x 5 ¼" piece of white cardstock and one 7" x 5" piece of black cardstock. Ink edges. Layer together with one 6 ¾” x 4 ¾” photo. Attach ribbon. Adhere to layout.

Step 5

Create crayons from cuts 1a-1d. Ink edges. Layer together. Use foam squares to adhere to layout.

Step 6

Create schoolhouse from cuts 2a-2d. Ink edges. Layer together. Use foam squares to adhere to layout.

Step 7

Create title from cuts 3a-3d. Ink edges. Use foam squares to layer together and adhere to layout.

Step 8

Embellish as desired.
