Windows CricutSync Detailed Installation Instructions for Cricut Imagine (TM) Users
After downloading the new CricutSync, double click on CricutSync.exe to proceed with the installation.
If no previous installation of CricutSync exists on your computer you will be prompted to install CricutSync as shown in Figure 1. Select Continue to proceed with installation.
If you have a previous version of CricutSync installed on your computer you will be prompted to replace the previous version of CricutSync as shown in Figure 2. Select Replace to proceed with install new version of CricutSync. Note that the version numbers shown in Figure 2 may differ from those shown on your computer screen.

The screen shown in Figure 3 indicates that CricutSync is installing on the computer.

If you see a firewall message from Windows, select the checkbox labeled Domain Networks and Allow Access to Bridge as shown in Figure 4 below.

Upon completion of the installation procedure, the CricutSync software will launch and attempt to connect to the Cricut Imagine Device as shown in Figure 5.

In order for the CricutSync software to communicate with Cricut Imagine (TM) machines with Firmware Version 96 and above, the proper version of Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver will need to be installed.
The following steps will only happen after your Cricut Imagine (TM) has been updated to firmware version 96, you have connected and powered on the Cricut Imagine (TM) to your computer and you have launched CricutSync (TM).
CricutSync will detect if the correct version of the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver is installed, if not CricutSync will launch the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard as shown in Figure 6.
If prompted to allow setup.exe from Provo Craft Novelty, Inc., select Allow.
Follow the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard on screen instructions to install the device drivers.
Select Next shown in Figure 6.

The Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard will select the proper Destination Folder. Simply select Install shown on lower right of screen in Figure 7.

The Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard will then install the driver as show in Figure 8.

If you have allowed Provo Craft & Novelty, Inc. device software, you Windows Security will prompt you to allow Provo Craft & Novelty, Inc. device software. Select the checkbox to Always trust software from "Provo Craft Novelty, Inc." and select Install to allow Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard to finishing installing the device driver software.

Special Note For Windows XP users:
Windows XP will notify the user that the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver has not passed Windows Logo testing. If prompted with this screen, shown in Figure 10, select Continue Anyway.

Click Next when installation completes as shown in Figure 11.

Follow the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard on screen instructions to disconnect and reconnect the Cricut Imagine (TM) machine and turn the Cricut Imagine (TM) on. After you have completed this step, select Finish as shown in Figure 12.

If you do not disconnect and reconnect the device, you will get the following error shown in Figure 13. Select No and disconnect and reconnect the Imagine as requested by the installer.

Special notes for Windows XP users:
When reconnecting your Cricut Imagine (TM) device the Found New Hardware Wizard may request to install software the Cricut Imagine (TM) as shown in Figure 14. This is a necessary part of the installation process for Windows XP users. Upon completion of the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard simply select "Install the software Automatically" and select Next.

The Found New Hardware Wizard will then attempt to find and complete the installation for the Cricut Imagine (TM) drivers software previously loaded by the Cricut Imagine (TM) Driver Setup Wizard. This step is shown in Figure 15.

After the Found New Hardware Wizard finishes installing the software for the Cricut Imagine (TM) select Finish as shown in Figure 16.
