Milestones
It's only April and already graduation season has begun. My kid sister took a walk in her cap and gown today to receive a diploma. She is officially a college graduate now. I feel so old. The aforementioned sister was also selected to speak at her graduation. Her entire family showed up for the event. A plethora of pictures was taken with loved ones and friends who gathered to celebrating this milestone in my sister's life. It is no secret where some of these photos will end up. Hmmm.
Now that baby sis has a little more time, she can enjoy fingering through the scrap books we've created and will hopefully be more inspired to pick up the healthy hobby of hanging out with the Cricut pals from time to time. Rest assured she'll be recording milestone after milestone of her life with class and style. I suppose the next milestone in her life will be acquiring a job or a husband or both.
Congratulations to all those graduates out there.
Happy Cricuting :-)

| About: |
| I fell in love with scrap booking when I was looking through a magazine and saw all of the beautiful things that you can do with paper. Right now I'm in love with card making and altered art. I have been scrap booking for 3 years and I love to use ribbon, buttons, and flowers on most of my creations. I don't know how to describe my style, but some people say that is a little bit romantic, feminine, and even shabby. Some of my work has been published in magazines like Handmade (formerly Paper Trends), Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Paper Crafts, Scrapbook and Cards Today and Cardmaker magazine to list a few. I have also had projects published in idea books and had tutorials and projects published online on scrap booking/paper crafting sites and some e-zines. |

CARTRIDGE EXPLORATION - Wildcard

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend. Here in Utah we finally had some wonderful weather, it was great to see the sun instead of the rain. My weekend was spent purchasing candy for my Easter basket and some dog treats for my dog's Easter basket. Yes, I am one of the slightly interesting people who like to do things for their dogs. I also had the wonderful privilege to attend my brother's wedding and reception. I was most impressed with the way the reception was decorated; they had paper cut outs on the tables and I thought, "You could do that with the Cricut". It looked so classy (see pic on the left) and fit my new sister in law's style. I am sure you all had just as lovely a weekend spent with family, or crafting something or other.
For this exploration I don't have any new Cartridges to explore for a while, so I thought I would visit the message board and find some of my favorite Cricut projects and share them with you.
-
JulieT created the
cutest flower card; this would be a great idea for summer or a Mother's Day card. This card was made with the
Wildcard cartridge.
-
KathleenLopes created the cutest
graduation center pieces using images from Wildcard. I'm sure you have some graduation out there somewhere and you might want to make this yourself.
-
Ladybuglover designed
a card that could be used for weddings or even Mother's Day.

-
SherylGreene created an
adorable cupcake mini album. This is a great way to celebrate your daughter's special birthday or maybe a fun slumber party. This idea would be fun to have friends at your bridal shower write in fun memories, (yes, you might want a different image for this type of a shower).
All of these fun projects come from the cartridge Wildcard. I thought I would put a bug in your brain to start making Mother's Day cards or start scheduling your time to make these cards, because that special day will be here soon. I love this cartridge and enjoy playing with it on the Cricut. I wish everyone is able to fun time to work on their crafts or scrapbooking, being creative really helps to relieve stress. Happy Cricuting!

QUOTE OF THE DAY
| "A graduation ceremony is an event where the commencement speaker tells thousands of students dressed in identical caps and gowns that 'individuality' is the key to success."
