Calling it For me, the month of November holds just as many rich memories as the month of December. It all seems like one big holiday. My early childhood recollections of Thanksgiving and Christmas often blend together. I recall being thankful for all of my blessings while sitting on the sofa with my sisters pouring over the pages of Christmas catalogs. This was a favorite ritual of ours. When we saw something we desired, one of us would quickly declared "I call that one!" Now that I'm older, I don't look through many catalogs all that often but I do shop for items online at various websites and often feel like pointing to the screen and saying "I call that one!", just for old times' sake. Check out our fabulous line of Cricut products at www.cricut.com but don't be surprised if you hear yourself exclaim, "I call that one!" Happy Cricuting :-) Lonna Joy Smoot- Editor, Cricut CHIRP! SWARM WINNER
This was our Harvest Crop and we always have a great time. But you're just as likely to see many of us at our LSS - Cj's Scrapbook Corner - on a Friday night. Sometimes we will have as many as 7 or 8 Cricuts going at one time! We love our bugs :) Our uses for our Cricuts are as varied as we are - everything from cards and scrapbook pages to centerpieces to wall decorations. And a friend and I have started decorating the front windows of the store for all the holidays. PROJECT CORNER AND SPOTLIGHT

| About: |
| I am a stay at home mom & proud Army wife. I love scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking for only about a year and a half now. I wanted to make something for my new baby at the time so I started looking at baby items online. I fell in love with a project someone had done with a Cricut so I decided I had to have one. So I bought a Cricut machine & have been scrapping & creating projects since then. |
Amy's Project: Give Thanks Wordbook, Thanksgiving Paper Bag Album |

Cartridges Used: |
Animal Kingdom, Paper Doll Dress Up, George and Basic Shapes, Doodlecharms, Base Camp |
| Instructions: |
Give Thanks Wordbook: You start by using the DesignStudio. You create your letters for the word book by using a different tab for each letter or page of your word book in DS. Then start placing them by checking the preview button to check placement. You overlap them until it is pleasing to the eye. You add squares to the letters for each base & then weld each letter to the square. Preview before cutting to make sure it is set-up how you would like. You then cut each letter out with chipboard using the new deep cut blade, cut each letter out twice to cover the books front & back, then embellish to your liking. I used the Base Camp Cartridge for the letters of the book, Paper Doll Dress Up, Doodlecharms, George & Animal Kingdom to embellish & decorate.
Thanksgiving Paper Bag Album: You put your paper bags together & bind with eyelets. I then used Design Studio to size all papers & mats for pictures using the George Cartridge. I then cut out Happy Thanksgiving using the new Wild Card Cartridge, cut a turkey from Animal Kingdom, a turkey, acorn, leaves from Doodlecharms, & made pumpkins from George Ovals. I then embellished with stamps & ribbon. | CRICUT BOARD

CARTRIDGE EXPLORATION - Hello Kitty Greetings
Winter is definitely on its way, and it some parts of the states I am sure there is snow. Fortunately here in Utah it hasn't snowed yet, so I spent a few days raking leaves from this big tree that I have in my backyard. You know I love to scrapbook about leaves and children playing in them but when it comes to cleaning them up, I don't like them anymore. I will not be scrapbooking my clean up event, because I don't want to remember those upset feelings towards that tree--hehehe. Since the wind has been blowing and it's been cold I've had time to work on my scrapbooking with my little Cricut bug (aka: Eddie). Eddie is the perfect friend to work with during the winter months while I am stuck indoors. I was able to get my hands on the new Cricut Machine Shoulder Bag last week. I was so excited to see the new decor of the bag, and to finally have something to carry my Cricut Expression in, that as soon as I got home I right into my craft room and put my Expression in it. I must say that it was a bit of a struggle, but then I found a trick. I thought I would share this with all you fellow Cricut users in case you have all come across the same issue. What you want to do is slide the one side into the bag then when you come to the opposite side of the bag make sure that you get the bottom corner into the back before you slide the top of the Expression into the bag. I know this sounds crazy, but when you get the bottom corner into the back of the bag then the machine slides right into the bag. Pulling the Expression out of the bag is a similar process. My only problem was getting the machine into the bag. Now my Expression is its own carrying case and it is so easy to use, I love it! The Cricut Cartridge family is constantly growing, and yes we again have two new cartridges to add to our wonderful cartridge selection. In this exploration I will discuss a little bit about the new cartridges. The newest cartridges are Hello Kitty Greetings, and Hello Kitty Font. In opening the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge I fell in love with Hello Kitty all over again. I loved this style when I was younger and would buy everything I could find with these images on them. Now I can create these same images with cardstock and use them for parties, invitation, or cards. In making the cards I found that page 6 in the handbook was very helpful. The page laid out how the different layers worked together like a puzzle. The creative features for this cartridge are White & Fur/Bow & Nose, Clothes, Clothes, Silhouette, Card, Shadow, Blackout. The images that come in this cartridge are: Hello Kitty title, Hello Kitty face, cherry, strawberry, Hello Kitty with friends, sun, butterfly, cupcake, present, Hello Kitty in bed, Hello Kitty sad, flower, Hello Kitty holding a heart, heart with arrow, rainbow, Hello Kitty cheerleader, Hello Kitty graduating, books, Hello Kitty in a car and airplane, cloud, luggage, Hello Kitty in Halloween customers, Bat, Christmas Tree, snowman, and Hello Kitty in Santa outfits. The phrases that come on this cartridge are: "I love you", "Thinking of You", "I'm sorry", "Happy Birthday", "School Spirit", "Bon Voyage", "Happy Halloween", and "Merry Christmas". WOW! You can use this cartridge with so many different seasons. I am currently using the cartridge to make cards for my nieces--I am determined to be the number 1 aunt--hehehe. Check back next week as I continue to explore this cartridge. Crafty Kimber TECH SUPPORT NOOK - Q: What is the Center Point feature?
A: This feature enables the user to accurately position the blade over the center of a desired area (photos, etc.) in preparation for the cut. QUOTE OF THE DAY
