Graduation Goodness!

Congratulations to all graduates out there! Graduation season is upon us.The potential for creating beautiful crafty gifts is limitless. Cricut can also help you decorate your graduation parties and family gatherings which accompany such happy celebrations of accomplishment. Cricut crafts and cards go hand and hand with such a season.

Remember to take pictures of all the graduation goodness as well. Capture every special moment. You'll never be sorry you took too many pictures, especially now that practically everything is digital, and you'll have preserved many memories to scrap about. You could even use your Cricut machine to make some ceremonial hats of your own and graduate from the ordinary to the extraordinary!

This week, be sure to check out Crafty Kimber's cartridge exploration of the Luau and Crocs Rule Cartridges. As always, I wish you success in your crafting adventures.

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT

About: I have been a "crafter" of some type as long as I can remember. Paper-crafting has been my passion for the last couple of years. I love my Cricut and enjoy using it for cards, scrap-booking and home decor.

Tanya's Project: Spring Fling

Cartridges Used:
- Sentimentals
- April Showers
- Freshly Picked
- Nate's ABC's
- Celebrate with Flourish

Instructions:
I began with an 10 x 20 inch artist canvas which I painted a creamy yellow color. I made 10 double mats to showcase each little scene on my project. Then, using various Cricut Cartridges, I created 10 different "Signs of Spring". I pretty much inked up all the edges of each cut, added buttons and ribbon to some of the scenes and gems to the others.
This was a fun project, and I love the final result.

YOUR NOTABLE TIP

Today's tip comes from message board member smiley. Thanks for sharing the clever tip!

Q. Hey all! :) I am trying to make a project with the Rock Princess Cart and started to cut with it, but when I went to cut some more with it, it said it couldn't read the cart and that there wasn't one there.

A) I had this happen to me 1 time. I just shut off the Cricut machine for a bit and then turned it on again. I blew in the bottom of the cartridge to remove any dust particles. Then the cartridge worked fine. If this doesn't work, I'd call customer service for assistance.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"Graduation is tough for adults. They go to the ceremony as parents. They come home as contemporaries. After twenty-two years of child-raising, they are unemployed."
