I am trying to type names that go on an envelope, if I use the text box, how do I weld.
I know I can weld not using text I drag and drop but it's so time consuming
to get letters all sized how I want not using the text box. What I am doing is, I made
thank you cards for people that donated to the gift I was given which all pieces cut with my mini. I want to cut out each name to go on the envelopes because I have a bad hand and can't write very neat. Thanks

on the left side of the mat, look under text tab, after you type your letters in the text box, just click the down arrow next to the letter spacing tool until they weld like you want. If some of the letters or the inside cutouts go gray, try spacing a little less or a little more to make the gray go back to full color. Any part that grays out will not cut correctly. If this happens, sometimes you can also just move the word around on the mat and it will fix it. This is a quirk that is sometimes aggravating.

I work off the mat, myself. Thanks for the tip, though, Olivia'sNana....didn't know you could do it that way. BUT, I like to do funky things and often use the "turn" corner to turn my letters into each other. That's what I like to do.
