Everybody always asks which cartridge the love the most, but I want to know

What is one of your worst/regret cartridge purchase(s) that you have made.

With Black Friday and Christmas fast approaching I thought I would make up a new list of cartridges to buy or ask for, I am looking at older cartridges verses the newer ones, but don't want to be stuck with a P.I.T.A cartridge that I never use. I already know about the Disneys ones, as I have a few of those ones already.

Chore Chart is mine. Wish the grid was better laid out with more rows.
Baseball and Basketball wish it had better words, cuts are silhouettes. Ended up buying Sports Mania.

What is worse, I can't seem to part with them.

My worst cartridge and what I consider a waste of money was Everyday Popup Cards. Tried to make some of them and finally gave up!

I have about 140 carts and the only one I have regretted buying is the Designer Calender cart. I am not sure what possessed me to buy it. I am sure I got it very cheap..probably $10 so didn't feel like I was wasting money. But I did. I don't think I will ever use it.

I usually research carts very closely before I buy. But some times I find one cheap enough that it's worth the money JUST IN CASE I might need it some day. Glare

Please share what you know about the disney carts. I have them and never regretted buying them at all (buy one get one free deal).

I only own about a dozen carts. The one I use the least is Beep Beep. I have cut about 2 or 3 items off it and the others I'm not interested in. The little people on it look weird to me Confused

I purchased it second hand and linked for about $30, which is cheap considering most of my carts end up costing around $80-$90.

Oh My...$80-90 for a cart??? The most I've ever paid was $30 and that was for Jolly Holidays when it first came out. I don't own Beep Beep, I never thought I'd use it.

About Designer Calendar;
I used the oval month and date for the month and date on birthday cards. That was a huge hit
Yesterday I used the breast cancer ribbon in Oct. to cut 30 of them for thank you cards.
I have used a lot of cuts on this cartridge.........

I am not crazy about my Gingerbread cartridge, just don't really like the shape of them.
I have never used my Dreams Come True sits in the drawer..........

I think mine was Slumber Party... I got it for $10 so I thought it was a good deal ( it was brand new and never opened btw) I kinda thought the girlie stuff on it was cute BUT... I have a son so it sat unused and I'm someone who usually tries to look for different uses of common things but this one had me stumped!

I am sure if I would look at the Designer calendar cart I might be tempted to use it. I really have no idea what is even on it. It's one of those that just sits on the shelf. I guess because of the title..If I'm not working on a calendar...I don't need it. Glare I know I need to remember to think outside of the title box! Maybe I will make it my next mission to use that cartridge somehow...or at least look at the book closer and see what's actually on it.

I too have Gingergread and haven't used it yet either. I actually went and counted how many carts I have actually used out of 137 I own and I have only used 42. And most of those have been used to cut wishes for others in the monthly Cut RAK.

I used Trim a Tree to cut out the christmas tree a couple weeks ago and the cuts are very intricut that it took forever to cut out. But I pretty much have to have all the christmas themed carts.

I have Trim the Tree I have used it one time for candle. The "santa" cut creeps me out. lol. I prefer shapes that from a distance and up close you easily tell what they are. Trim the Tree isn't always easy to tell.

I have around 160 cartridges and there are a few that I have and am not sure why I got them. I do like the Disney ones. I got them when my granddaughter was little and would cut stuff out for her when she came over. I have a few that I'm not sure why I even bought them. Two that come to mind are Batman and Superman. We have 6 grandsons, but by the time I got them, the boys were not that crazy about them. I've used them a couple of times, but not lately. I also bought the Designer Calendar and haven't used it. I think that I, too, got it on sale and thought I'd use it. That was about 4 years ago.

Pretty much! There is just the one importer here so we pay his price or we miss out. I did get The First Few Years cart recently from another source, but once she added postage and her own mark up, it cost more. It would be fantastic if international customers could buy digital content. I'd own 3 times as much.

I check CCR for freebies as often as I can and make the most of the good ones. Halloween is not really celebrated much in NZ but this year my 2 little boys went to a party so I am making most of the Happy Hauntings cuts. The importer has refused to get the cart for me. They do not take custom orders. I am loving the free Christmas cards in CCR at the moment.

Other goodies I buy are: DCWV stacks $35-$40, Zig 2 way glue $9-$15, 3M ATG refills $20, Cricut Mats $25-$30, Blades $15-$20, Bazzil cardstock $2-$3 a sheet, WRMK envelope punch board (Love Love ) $40. I am planning to start Project Life in 2014 and the pages are going to cost me $50-60 for a big box, $50 for an album and the core kits are around $42.

Jasmine font cart. The letters are just too narrow to cut to fit a card. Joy of the season may of the cuts are just odd looking to me. I like the Disney carts I have found that I need to cut shapes 4 inches or more. I have several carts that I have never opened though.

I had 2. Mini Monograms and Trim the Tree. I hated the Trim the Tree. Every cut I tried to do was a major undertaking and no matter what setting, what paper, new or used mat, or new or used blade I could never get the cuts to cut out without tearing somewhere. I sold it and have never regretted it. The Mini Monograms, I hated the way the letters cut out. I am a symmetrical type person so the different sizes of the letters drove me crazy. I also sold this one and have never regretted it.BigGrin

I'm on board for that Jasmine being too hard to cut. Stone Script seems to be another hard to cut one. I have a ton of cartridges but seem to cut from the same old ones over and over. I love Kates ABC but have never used it. Maybe they are like an addiction and I just like to line them up and look at them.

I have about 250 carts, the only ones I regret are the ones I haven't opened yet, I thought I was doing good and had all but 3 unopened, just didn't have the time to do anything with them yet, was moving some stuff around and found 17 unopened ones, no clue when I bought them so those I definitely regret. Not that I don't like them just that I spent money I really didn't need to.

She would, if she could. Even a lot of the digital carts/images aren't available for international purchase.

But, what she really needs is a crafty friend in the US that is willing to receive her purchases and then send them on to her. My friend and I have that arrangement and even though there is the added shipping {from me to her}, it's still less than buying from vendors outside the USA. And not just for Cricut merchandise, but for other items as well.

I bought Jasmine and several other alphabet carts the first time I bought a machine and carts but had to sell it all for financial reasons. So when I bought my E and started buying carts, I made sure not to buy all the alphabet carts I had the first time around. I think the name Jasmine was my biggest draw..it's a pretty name. Laugh

I like sweater weather even though I have not used it yet. BigGrin

Thanks for posting this question. It is interesting to read about the "bad" carts. I still have several unopened due to lack of time for crafting. However, last year I tried to cut a bear from the cart that has the bears dressed in holiday outfits. I tried the turkey bear and failed. I may just be stupid, but could not get it to work. Now, I avoid buying any cart that layers like this cart. I know that I don't like the cupcake cart. I gave one away and know she will not use it either. I think that I got the cupcake carts with purchases, but they were not much of a bonus.

This is a fun post, off hand I think my worst was Designer Calendars too.
I was able to sell it, sorry ladies I hope I didn't sell it to one of you.
There's another one too, I think it's Winter Woodland. I tried to create the houses-UGH.
