I already mentioned that I did veer off the Fall theme for a few items, as I was stuck for an idea. Off to the PO after I give the dog his insulin and feed him. Be back in a few with the label number.

My box for Carol is on its way!!! Went to the post office with all the kids and the dog!! He had to go to the vet - he gets allergies this time of year too and needs a cortisone shot. I had intended to start school today - oh well, we started off with a "field trip" day!! Will hit the books tomorrow!!

LauraA...your box is postal..label number is 9114 0112 0867 8250 9691 with a delivery of Monday, September 9. I hope you enjoy what I made for you.

Now on a happy note, I got my box today...yay. I so want to open it, but I am hoping I can keep my hands off of it till Monday. My kids refuse to hide it in their rooms, because they know I will go through them. Not that they have anything to hide, they assure me.

Another happy note, my youngest started Freshman year today. He is off for 2 days, then goes in Friday to get his IPAD that the school provides in lieu of text books.

And a sad note. My neighbors lost their house today in foreclosure. It is so sad to see someone that you have become friends with suffer over this.

OK, sad to report I could not wait to open it. Sorry. But really Laura....your box makes me want to go back and redo everything. I love the way you thought outside of the box. I am still opening....but wanted to say NO DIBBS....Laura Spoiled me....the biggest kid of them all, my husband, tormented me to open them. He takes off on the kids first day of school for the past 19 years. He informed me that he only had to do it 3 more years.

Denise

OK...opened everything and I am truly Blessed to have been partners with LauraA. She is an amazing swap partner and in future swaps, whoever gets her as a partner will be amazed at her creativity.
I will post pictures later tonight, but I received not on but 2 Tim Holtz goodies. I received Washi tape and glitter tape...we did think a like on one of the directives..lol. some gorgeous embellies....ribbon, pop dots, which I am out of after I did your swap box. I do not want to tell you how many I used. an ingenious Thanksgiving magnet....OMG......

Thank you, Thank you a thousand time thank you.

Godit's Girl your package is in the mail. Expected arrival date is Sept. 5th. Tracking number is 9114901159815101857633. Unfortunatly by the time I got everything wrap there was not enough room in the box I used so there are items not inside the decorated box. I tried just sending to much. Guess I needed a larger box like what Patricia sent me.

This was a fun swap and I enjoyed particapating.

SO glad you liked everything Denise! You're very welcome, it was my pleasure really.
The spellbook was my favorite thing to make. I was inspired by the recycled swap and the awesome altered book I received from my partner craftySansan.
My other favorite was the magnetic corkboard thingy.
I found those old postcards at an antique show and couldn't figure out what to do with them. I was about to send you just the cards and then inspiration struck! I really like how that turned out.
I got that whoop de doo stamp 2 days before I mailed out and knew you had to have something made with that...I guess it hit the spot so to speak!BigGrin

Lots of things came from a store I walked into by chance called Tuesday Morning, so you won out on those. If anyone has these stores near them-GO! They had TH for like 75 to 90% off! Plus lots of other crafty goodness too. Bulk packages of graphic 45 and other cool papers. Embellishments, sheets, clothes, candle holders. Everything super marked down. WOOHOO!

I can't wait to see what you made for me Denise. I'll be waiting patientlyFlapper

I really enjoyed this swap Barbara, thank you for hosting!

Better than Christmas morning..

That's the only way I can describe Miss Stamper's shoebox goodies. I am truly overwhelmed with the level of craftmanship, detail and creativity. It almost brought tears to my eyes! Since this was my very first swap and being new to crafting (other than scrapbooking) I didn't realize the creative craft level you ladies have attained! I have quite a bit of catching up to do, and only hope that my generous partner is not too disappointed with the box I sent her.

Here is the beautifully decorated box that arrived today. Note the crystal embellishment on the top!
The Shoebox Arrives!

I could tell just from taking the top of the box off, that I was in for a very big treat! I just loved the two fabric pieces, K for black kittens and U for umbrellas!
Opening the box

Here is a view of my entire box of goodies. Even the identifying letters were adorable - printed like Scrabble tiles (who even thinks of these things? Amazing!)And I loved the recipe cards, the first one being a Candied Yam Cupcake recipe!
The Best Goodie Box Ever!

But my absolute favorite of the entire haul is an intricately crafted witch, with tiny buckles and a moving eye, that graces a handcrafted matchbox full of tiny buttons, sequins and other mini-goodies. I am truly overwhelmed. The purple witches shoe-button is just too much! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Kathleen..

WOW !! We are off to a great start on the pictures of the goodies ! MANY THANKS to Denise and DoxMom for posting their wonderful pictures of their treasure boxes ! Both partners have done an excellent job of packaging too .... some really nice things and stocked the boxes well...

I admit I had to also change up from an originally "Ladies" dress shoe box to a SNEAKER box to fit in my items for my partner...I really did not realize how hard it would be to put 26 items in a box...but now i know for sure. It is difficult..and even harder when you would like to spoil your partner and have such limited space.

I decided to make the Christmas box swap "any size you want" ! Flapper LOL

Looking forward to more on the way !

It goes on from there, with two pages for every letter of the word Halloween. What beautiful work! I can't wait to fill it with pics. I make my guys' costumes every year, so it will be nice to showcase them in such a fantastic album.

ScrapyPiggy....Thank you so much for all the care you took in picking out and in making items for me for this swap. I so appreciate everything. You are very talented, and I am so thankful to have some examples of that gift. You cheered me up and lifted my spirits. My health has gotten worse over the past month, and I am having to drop out of some things for a little while, so I really needed something to make me feel better, and this definitely was the thing. Thank you for making me feel so special. I hope my box to you has an equal effect. Many blessings, GG.

WOW !! What an awesome box ....ScrapyPigy you were so creative with your box !! Very nice...
Thanks for posting the photos Godotsgirl ! Love

I also have to tell you all a very TRAGIC STORY !! I get a LOT of boxed shipments everyday from Provocraft, Darice, Graphic 45 etc...plus supplies for my business from Staple , Office Depot and others.

Well, yesterday a box came from OFFICE DEPOT (or at least that is what I thought) and it ended up in the pile with a bunch of othere shipments.

Today I run across this box and it turned out to be my FALL SWAP BOX from Madhatter!! OMG !!OhMyGod Scared It was left out in the car-port all night ! Thinking it was office supplies !! Unsure well, I am SOOSOOOOOOO SORRY Madeline ... I will open it tonight and get pictures posted ASAP !! I was not expecting such a large box to come and my DH thought it was from OFFICE DEPOT so he put it with the other shipments.

OKAY - so I hope no one else will do the same dumbo thing that I did !! Wink Wub

I love seeing everyone's pictures. I didn't get to take photographs yet of the box from my partner. The cold I have had for over a week suddenly got worse last night. I went to my doctor in the city this morning. Ugh! Bronchitis. I hope to feel much better in the morning so I can take pictures and post.

Okay, I must admit, I cheated a little on the box. Straight from the shoe store, it already had the beautiful green with the bud and leaves print all over it. I just colored the images in with my Copics and decorated the lid and side a bit.

I could tell just from taking the top of the box off, that I was in for a very big treat! I just loved the two fabric pieces, K for black kittens and U for umbrellas!

The letters are from a free font I've had in Microsoft Word for a long time. I think it is called "Scramble" and you can probably google it.

Witches Surprise!

Sheesh, another confession... the tiny crafted witch is actually store bought. I think she came in a $1 sticker pack from JoAnnes. I think that was my last witches shoes button. I make have to go on a hunt to find more of them. I am so happy that you loved the matchbox. Altered matchboxes are actually one of my favorite things to make. I have a whole collection of them that I have received in swaps! I love tiny things and I cannot look at my collection without smiling! I love pulling each one down and looking at the tiny treasures in them.

ScrapyPiggy...I am glad you liked your box's contents. I had so much fun putting it together. The Stamps from the Bingo game I made are from a Stampin' Up set I had just gotten...perfect size for Bingo squares. The tag that the purse charm I made you is on was my first attempt at a tag. I like how it turned out. I thought the Halloween cards I made would be perfect to hand out at the door to the little ones with their candy. Some of them have glow in the dark paint on them...just charge it up under a light. The lucky black Cricut fella for your fireplace hearth was actually an extra white Imagine one that I had. I just painted him black. My boys and I made the refrigerator jam. It is actually really good as an ice cream topping. I hope you enjoy the embossing folders and the Martha Stewart punch and the paper....I didn't think to roll the paper up like you did, just cut it into 6 x 6 squares.

Love seeing everyone's creativity!

Thanks CricutCrazy for being such a wonderful host! I want to do your Christmas box swap, but I have a few surgeries coming up, and my recovery time is uncertain, so I can't commit to any swaps right now. I hope you all have fun, though. I will watch for more swaps like this one....so fun!

Blessings, GG.

Oooo- I love that mini album scrappypiggy! Especially the cover! What a wonderful box you put together for GG
And it looks like you got a great one in return! I love those cards they're so cute for Halloween trick or treaters. And homemade Jam... YUM!

Loving everything I've seen so far! Thanks for sharing.

I just hope I can get my pictures sized right to show off my treasures when I get them. Otherwise you'll all be doomed to open them up one by one. BOOO!Blushing
