I searched and couldn't find anything on this...
Just purchased the Expression 2. When the blade drags across to the left from its resting spot on the right, it is dragging and creating a cut all the way across the paper and vinyl. At first I thought it was because the mat was bent from being in the box, but I have used a flat mat and it's still doing it. I have also checked and re-checked to ensure the blade is properly installed. A veteran Cricut user came over to check it out and she couldn't figure it out either.
With the cost of Cricut vinyl, I am ruining more than I can afford!
Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions? Do I just have a defective unit that I should return?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I just purchased one as well and I'm kind of having the same problem. The machine sounds a little loud and I hear grinding. The images are cutting but the lines are off. It's not cutting across the paper, but it's almost like the chain is catching on something. Did you adjust the depth on the blade to 3? I'll be following your post....

I talked to customer service a little while ago. They *think* its the blade assembly and are sending me a part to replace it. I encourage you to call them too. I'll repost an update after it arrives and I get it installed.
