Which CRICUT machine are you using? Be sure you have updated it before you do anything else.
It's the weekend; if you try it tonight or tomorrow and need any help, come back and ask. Maybe someone can help you. Go by the directions you have; I'm merely giving you some of the information here....just in case you need a little help other than what you already know to do.
DELETE BROWSING HISTORY in your internet browser....while on the internet go up to TOOLS and you'll see the prompts.
When you download CCR, be sure you wait (after the download) for another popup to download ADOBE AIR. You need it to run CCR.
I would turn off your computer after the download.
Plug in the USB cord to your hard drive and turn on your CRICUT. Now, turn on your computer. Your computer should recognize new hardware and you should see that it does.
You should see the CCR Icon on your desktop. Click into it and sign in....using the exact same password you use for your cricut.com account.
INSTALL THE DRIVERS (go up to the HELP menu in CCR) for your machine.
Over in the left hand column, click on MACHINES and tell your computer which machine you have hooked up to your computer.
