Hi Everyone I have the original expression and works very well and the Imagine ( well thats another story) I have been afraid to update my firmware on my expression since forever - it works with my gypsy. I was just wondering if the original expression works well with CCR or should I get a different machine. I used the beta version or CCR for a while and then updated it and when it failed with the Imagine I was afraid to use it with my expression. I would love your opinion and experiences with CCR and the expression.
Thanks

I have an Expression and a MINI. I LOVE BOTH OF THEM WITH CCR! I have had very few problems with either of my machines.
From all the comments I have read on the MBs, and I've read most of them I would say because I felt I could learn from them, mostly, I believe the least problems with any of the machines have been with the Expression and the MINI.
The Expression 2s and the IMAGINES had the most problems, I believe. I also believe they still do.
Having said that, I would make sure I had all the requirements PC has noted. The closer you come to meeting most of those requirements will ensure the best outcome in CCR. AGAIN, those are my thoughts.

My Expression works perfect with the CCR, Gypsy & Design Studio! My Imagine has been hit or miss on lots of things. I just sent my Imagine back this week because it lost it's mind & would not hold the firmware! It was hit or miss as to printing & cutting with the CCR, but worked beautifully with the G & as as stand alone machine. Since the last update to the CCR, my Imagine has been more cooperative with the CCR. Go ahead & update & see what you get with the Imagine & CCR.

Honestly, I never use my Expression without CCR....I've said it 100 times that I don't think I remember how to use my Cricuts without CCR. LOL.

I got my Expression on the very first Black Friday that Walmart offered them, like 5 years ago maybe 6, and it works great with CCR! I do not use my E without CCR, and before that it was Design Studio. I just can not work it well without seeing te cut on the mat first.

I updated my Expression and it works great with CCR. My Imagine has never worked well with CCR even though it is completely updated. I use it with my G and as a stand alone machine. I still like my Imagine, though. I haven't used CCR much until recently. It is nice for welding. I waited and waited for the Imagine to be able to import designs and print and cut them. Well, that will never happen, so I did buy a 3rd party machine in which I can print my clip art on my computer with my printer and then cut them on the machine. That machine works great also. I am still happy with my Cricuts, but now I have other options as well. Carolyn
