Just wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to get my Create to cut again without using CCR. I see in earlier posts that 1.61 is the problem, but with the site update I can't find the Design Studio trial download to reset the version back to something that will work.
Any ideas?

Any ideas? Well now that is scary... It is true 1.61 does not work, and the previous can be found in DS. I would call CS and ask if they could send you the file if it is no longer on the website.

Thanks for this Narelle, but I can't get it to download properly. It downloads but won't execute the program. Getting so frustrated with my computer lol
Might be time to give CS a call...

Narelle, do you know when your box bandwidth resets? I tried to download the trial but got a message that you'd exceeded your bandwidth. I'm having the same problem with the firmware update on my create.

PC has finally posted the download in a find-able spot in the forum. Narelle links to it with instructions here: Cricut Machines & Applications » Craft Room Application » Oh no what has happened to my machine now. I followed her instructions and my Create is back in business. BTW, when you first launch DesignStudio, you will land on a screen that looks like you are required to register the program. Click the option for running the trial version on the lower right of the screen. After you do that you will be able to run the firmware update/rollback.
