I am so excited about how this turned out... I used the eyelash yarn mixed with a white 7oz yarn to make the fuzzy on the rim and the pom pom of this hat....I did 16 row for the rim of the hat.. on the first 8 rows I just used the white 7oz yarn. For the last 8 rows I added the eyelash yarn.... I used the new sized purple Knift Knitter loom... I love love the tighter stitches!!..I just used the large pom pom maker but I wrapped each side 100 times... it made the pom pom so big and fluffy... This will be so much fun at Christmas! Thank you so much for looking! ~Hugs, Jeannie

You are getting better and better if that is possiable. I love this hat. Saw the purple loom but did not have a coupon with me. They should develop and app where you can keep coupons on your phone and then they could scan them off your phone.
I have a hat done and a scarf almost done that I will post next week when completed. I made a slipper for a giant lol. thought I messured my sons foot but did not come out right and I messed up on the heel. Well at least I'm trying to learn.

Love, love, love this hat Jeannie. It is definitely a must do for me. I just have to figure out how to do the decreasing stitches so that it comes out correct. Any advise? How many rows did your hat end up being? Did you decrease each row or every other row?

Thanks,
Jacque

I think I just read where AC Moore will do that. Seems like they had it on their Twitter page not too long ago. You may want to check with the store though.

I didn't look for one... I was told that they isn't one out there...I just figured it out... I had seen a hat for a baby made be a lady at the knitting group I go to at a local church...I wanted to make one but she used needles...so I came home and thought and thougth about it...when I woke up the next day I knew how to make it!!

I did 12 rows in white.. I am thinking... the first six without the eyelash yarn the next six with...these rows were knit purl rows..the next 25 rows I did in the e-wrap stitch in red...then I decreased a stitch each row..knitting back and forth instead of in the round..until I got down to 3 pegs..this will create an opening that you will have to stitch up... then when you get down to 3 stitches you knit peg 1, 2, 3 then back to 1 again... looks like it won't work but it does.. do this until you get the tail as long as you want it.

Hugs
Jeannie

i LOVE it!! gonna have to make one for my DD...she would look so cute in it! :) TFS!! You do such beautiful work! Oh, and I think I saw somewhere that you were having surgery? You'll be in my thoughts! I know everything will go just fine and just think of all the knitting you can do while you are resting and recovering! :) Best of luck to you!
