I was just going to say...we haven't heard from Nancy and Carrie for a very long time.

So now I will say, "CARRIE, WHERE ARE YOU?"

Good morning!

Paula it sure sounds like you have been busy. All that cleaning and family too! Are you ready for your company?

RHonda that was nice of friend to bring a cake to you at work. That must have made your day! When I took my mom to Vegas I brought a book along and sat next to her and read while she gambled. Once in a while I put a few dollars in but usually read.

Laurie I love you projects you are doing! How did that last showing go? You said it sounded promising.

Pat you sound like you will have a busy weekend. Did you get everything taken care of so you are ready for your guests?

Lizzy your steamed dumplings looked yummy!!! I hope you enjoy your time in SFO since it sounds like it will be all about your move when you get back. When will you actually move to NC?

We have been having the most wonderful weather. It is cool at night so I can open the windows and then about 75* during the day. If only it were this way everyday all year!

There is not really anything new here to report. Just the usual busy summer days.

I hoep everyone is having a great week!

Ok, I will try this again...in a shorter version. I really hate that security code.

Paula, I have been meaning to tell you that yes, most of what I've been doing is watercolor but I also add acrylic paint and ink. I use watercolor crayons and watercolor paints like kids have but bought at the art supply store. I am so glad I found my inks. It really makes me want to create

Pat, how was the glass of wine? LOL

Nancy, the couple won't put an offer in because they are worried because they need to sell their house first. I just want an offer!

Rhonda, I'm so glad you had a nice birthday!

Lizzy, I'm sure you are enjoying SF. I still hope some day that you and I can go to SF together.

Carrie, hop all is well.

Open House Sunday. I have to clean up the studio LOL I think I will shove it all into that dresser I am working on. I hope people come.

That's all folks!

Later!

good Friday morning. Busy one today getting everything ready for tomorrow. Hairapy at 10 and I then I need to clean the furniture on the deck and move some plants off.
I also want to go over to Lowe's and get a couple chairs for the yard. Jim will be home early and he will cut the grass and then it is just a matter of a trip to the grocery for last minute items.
We have a run in the morning at 8:30. I still need to print some cards to take. Wish I had worked on those during the week. Too much else going on.
Laurie, all your projects are very cool and I hope the Open House brings in some serious interest. I think about all the ones we have gone to in our neighborhood. Mainly because I want to see what people have done, not because I want to buy it. Oh and the glass of wine was perfect. Wink
Lizzy, hope you are getting things done while Terry is working. I hadn't realized it was a work trip for him. I love SF. My sister and I talked about walking across the GG bridge one of these times. Then having lunch in Sausalito which is another place I enjoy visiting.
Nancy, awesome weather here also. Actually, almost chilly in the mornings the past couple days. But I love having the house open.
Rhonda, enjoy the weekend with the girls. I enjoy the casinos in LV, because there is so much to see in them, that gambling is not necessary. I enjoy playing the slots, but it is not as fun since they don't use coins anymore. I like the sound of the coins pouring into the tray.
Glad to hear Amber is having a good time.
hello to Paula and Carrie. Hope everyone has a good Friday and weekend.

Good afternoon Friends!

Great. news on the job front! An actual interview! WooHoo. It's with Haverty Furniture in their office. I would be the one who finishes up a sale by taking payment or getting them credit, balancing drawers, preparing deposits among other things.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I really need to get out of this house and make some money!

I'm excited but I feel guilty too. I know when my house sells that I'll be leaving. I have to get over that, right?

Just wanted to share the news!

Good morning everyone!

Sure has been quiet around here lately.

Laurie, yippee for the interview! When is it? And you have an open house this weekend? It looks like you have been having fun crafting. I don't know what the process is you are doing but I really like the outcome! You have made some really nice pages (don't know what you call them) Glad your having fun.

Lizzy, I hope you are enjoying SF. I have never been to that city. The dumplings looked yummy! Enjoy your time there.

Nancy, good to hear from you. We are having that wonderful weather this week too. What a welcome relief after that heat!!

Pat, I see you are off on your walk. I hope you are enjoying it. It's nice that you have good weather for that too! I checked out the site, what beautiful girls. How wonderful to be part of such a lovely memorial.

Rhonda, you are off on your weekend adventure. Hope you are relaxing a bit and having fun.

Carrie oh Carrie, where are you? Probably out golfing somewhere. The excitement around here is they announced that the Senior PGA tournament is going to be here for the next three tournaments. We knew 2014 would be here but not beyond that. You should check it out.
Our church will be manning a hole again this time. DH is involved in that. I didn't even go last time, maybe this time around I will check it out. My friends daughter has a pic with the Cake Boss who was there for demonstrations. Whirlpool is involved big time in developing the golf course so they had lots going on. Anyhow....enough of that book.

Today we are meeting my SIL and her hubby in Kalamazoo. They are flying in to Detroit from NH. We will go to the Air Zoo and then back here. They will stay until Wed., (except he will fly to DC for a meeting Mon.-Tue.) and then go north to BIL's. We will join up with them Thur. night and stay the weekend at the cottage.
So that is my next week, what is everyone else up to???

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!! THIS TOOK FOREVER TO POST WITH THE DUMB SECURITY THING!!!

Good morning Friends!

Paula! At least you can get in! I have to go to another browser to get in. And eve then it tells me access denied. I wish there was another place we could go instead of here. The interview is wit Haverty Furniture in their business office. And yes, finally an open house! We'll see what happens. It's about a 50 minute drive but that's ok. I know that's where the jobs are. But, it's right next to M's and HL. No wait...I don't need anything! LOL I am having fun doing these art journal pages. All you do is put on a layer, let it dry, put on another layer and let it dry and so on. If you don't like how it turns out, you can gesso (white primer paint) it and start new. I don't do that though. I keep even the ugly ones because art is art.

Pat, enjoy your walk this morning.

Everyone else have a greatSaturday

Hi friends....

Rhonda, VERY belated happy birthday wishes and many many more! I'm glad that Amber is having a great time at band camp and I trust you had an enjoyable time at her concert! Be sure to tell us about it.

Pat, how was the walk today?

Paula, how was the visit with your family from NH?

Nancy, glad that things are going well for you...a normal summer! You haven't mentioned your boys lately. What's going on with them? Working? School?

Laurie, how did the Open House go? Actually, from my point of view, you don't really want an offer on your house that doesn't go through...as in someone who still has to sell another house. That is pure frustration. It's better to have an offer that will be solid and be sure right through to the end. Those that are contingent on the buyer selling their other house are crazy...because your "life" is on hold waiting for things to happen over which you have no control.

We are having a really nice time here in SFO. The weather has been pretty chilly and windy, but we have weathered (no pun intended) it despite the odds. I wish I had brought a pashmina to wrap around my neck, but I didn't. Nevertheless, I am glad I brought long-sleeved knit shirts! They have kept me warm...and some wool socks. We went down to the wharf today but it was super-crowded. I could have lived without that! North Beach, with the Italian restaurants, was much more pleasant!

We head back to Irvine tomorrow. The packing to move begins in earnest. The purchaser of our home is clear to buy it...all systems are go. They have requested that we close earlier than originally planned so we will do as they request, by about four days. Sarah is coming for a visit, so we cannot close any earlier than four days because of her visit. This week, we plan to toss more stuff out and decide finally what to keep and what to sell/toss. I am going to chop up my school scrapbooks and only keep a few pages from each book, remaking only one book for all of my teaching years. That will cut my books from 11 down to one! That means going from 3 boxes to less than 1 box! Yippee!! And, the story goes on. We are keeping some of the bedroom furnitures, but not all of them. We are keeping very little of the living room and family room furniture. Sarah is taking the breakfast room furniture. And so on....

We plan to leave Southern California now on August 19, I think it is. I don't know when our home in NC will be finished...perhaps as much as a month...maybe even more. We are planning on staying in corporate housing that Terry's company provides at a nominal fee (or no fee).

Originally, Terry was going to sell his truck in So Cal but now he isn't. Instead, he is going to drive it to NC. I am planning to take my scrapping stuff in the car with us so that I have something to do after we move and before we move into our home. I guess I'll hope to have a table to work on, too!

That's about all my news for now. Everyone take care. I'll check in after a few days!

Good morning.. seems like it should be Monday. My days are so messed up. Getting ready to head over to Best Buy to see about an arm band for my phone. I saw a bunch on Amazon, but the reviews commented on them awkward, because the phone is heavy. I am thinking that it is maybe because the people were runners. I have one for my iPod, but then it is very light/small and I am usually sitting at a crop.
Friday I got some great tips from my hairdresser for my phone and yesterday more tips from Kristen and her fiance. Brian has the same phone. Eventually, I will have I will have it all figured out.
Lizzy, I am getting excited for you guys on your next life journey. Oh and North Beach is great for good eats. I love the wharf and a great Crab Louis, but I don't enjoy all the tourists.
Also, it sounds like you are moving forward smoothly and that is great.

going to cut this short here. Jim is ready for a break, so we are going to run a couple errands. I will be back in a while.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!

Hope you have an awesome day. Sounded like you are having a great time in SF. So glad the house swapping seems to be going very smoothly. But it will also mean busy times ahead! I like your idea of making one book out of eleven. That way you are keeping what is important to you. Great idea.

Laurie, keeping my fingers crossed for a great interview. Sorry your trip to Rabbit Hatch wasn't very successful. It sounds like a small town near hear that motorcycles come to one weekend a month. During that day, you can hardly get around. But they are usually gone by mid afternoon.

My weekend with the girls was great. We spent a lot of time just talking and catching up. Lots of laughing and good times. Didn't spend very much time in the casino, so that was fine with me. Then Saturday, we went in to Topeka for some shopping. They headed home and I went to Hobby Lobby. Spent quite a bit of time looking for decorative items for my living room but didn't find what I was looking for.

Then I headed to the football game to watch Amber perform. They did a great job. She was so excited when I picked her up to head home. She said it was awesome again this year and she made so many new friends. She is already hoping to go next year! I think it is an awesome experience for her. She said hated saying goodbye to everyone. Can't believe she will be a Junior in high school this year.

And we are finally getting RAIN!!!! Of course that means we now have flood warnings. Guess you have to take the good with the bad. So far it has been just slow steady rain/drizzle, but they are expecting some heavier rains to day.

Will catch up more later.

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZY!!!
Enjoy your day!

Rhonda, I am so glad you had a good weekend. It sounds really nice! How nice that you could see Amber perform. I am sure that meant a lot to her. It sounds like she had a super time. :)

Our time is going well. The Air Zoo was better than I expected. (thought I would be bored to tears) We did the downtown tour thing with SIL and her DH. Thought we would eat at Silver Beach Pizza Sat. night but there was a 90 minute wait for a table. Yesterday we went to the beach. The waves were high and we only found one piece of beach glass. :(
They are here until Wed. and then will go north.

Laurie, how was the weekend? Open house go well? Is today the interview day??

Today is DS's b-day too. He is working...I need to make an ice cream cake for him today. Guess I will need to run to the store.

Hi friends,

It has been a slow, quiet day. Sarah sent me the sweetest, love-filled card ever. It was so thoughtful. Then, Kat called. Of course, Terry has been very loving as well. We ate pizza here at home and in awhile, we are going out for frozen yogurt.

I thought the gas man was coming today to turn the gas back on after the termite fumigation, but alas, it won't be until tomorrow. So, once again, no more shower until tomorrow. YUCK! It's a long story and I won't get into it.

I have made a mess on the floor here in the family room with all my papers and I need to clean it up tonight. I have newspapers, magazines, mail, notices, etc. It's terrible and I have to do something about it.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, friends.

Rhonda, I'm so glad you had a good time with your friends and I'm SO GLAD Amber had fun and made new friends at band camp! What a great experience for her!!

Paula, how was Tay's ice cream cake? I bet it was yummy! Was is an air zoo? Please tell!!

Good luck, Pat, with finding a holder for your phone.

I'm going to go and see if I can accomplish something this evening!

Good evening Friends! I went to another browser to come in again. I don't know why I can't just get in the regular way. it's vey frustrating!

Lizzy, I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Funny how I got a card from you on your birthday. I got all emotional. I think I really need a Lizzy visit soon LOL

The Open House was a wash. 1 person came and it was another realtor to check it out for her buyer who couldn't make it.

Job interview is tomorrow. hopefully it goes better than the open house LOL

Paula, I just use watercolor paint (like the kid sets) and acrylics. I use my inks too. I finished my envelope art journal but I have to buy some embroidery floss to bind the book.

Lizzy, if we accept an offer from someone who has to sell their house, can't we still show and sell t another offer or would we have to stay with the contingency offer? I don't see how it would hurt. My life is on hold as it is and I have no control over things happening or not happening. I can see if I was in a place where people want to move to an we have a lot of interest but I'm not in one of those areas. At this point we're even ready to accept an offer where the realtor is making more than us LOL

Rhonda and Pat, glad you had a fun weekend!

Heading to bed and hoping to sleep. Interview I at 11:30 so I don't have to get up too early.

Later!

Good morning! and happy belated birthday to Lizzy.
Yesterday was a whirlwind day. But we were able to visit with to visit with 2 of Jim's relatives in VA and enjoy a leisurely late lunch. Drive home was good.
Paula, happy belated birthday to Tay also. I too, am curious what an Air Zoo is??
Lizzy, I hope the gas gets turned on quick. I would not want to be w/o hot water. Hope you got the mess cleaned up.
Rhonda, your weekend sounded like it turned out well. Sorry you didn't find anything at HL. Obviously you have an idea of what you might want?? Or no??
Laurie, I am so sorry the open house was a wash. That has to be frustrating. I am sending good vibes for the interview to go well and work out. I do like the envelope album you made. I wish I had some time to get back to crafting.

This week, I have got to get ready for the meeting in ME. I lost last weekend and this week is going to move fast. Jim is very busy at work, so I am trying NOT to lean on him for help. I still have to finish up the pages for the society album and get all my reports written and printed out. And the house is a disaster. Well, at least in my mind it is.

I did get an arm band for my phone at BB. Since I don't have any music on my phone, I will just use it for the walking app and listen to that voice. Too many gadgets!!

It is time for me to get busy here. I need to make a list and then FOCUS.

Hi friends....I got some good sleep last night (finally). Yesterday I felt terrible...very tired but unable to sleep and ended up with a headache and cranky. Yuck.

Today, I am getting more organized. I have to put all the food away from the termite fumigation. No worries, I tossed out everything that was expired, so at least everything that I have to put away is current. It's just a hassle. Grrr...

I want to begin working on boxes that are in my garage. As I said earlier, I am going to go through my scrapbook boxes and pull out my school scrapbooks; keep a few pages from each one and toss the remaining ones. It seems silly, but truly, no one is going to want them. The last few years, I didn't even finish each year. That will cut down on a few boxes, for sure.

I am making plans to meet some friends on Thursday evening for dinner. That might well be my going away dinner because we are going to be so busy getting ready to leave. It's mainly friends from work.

I also have some paperwork to do today which requires mainly printing some stuff off the computer and then sending it to Raleigh for our house loan.

Laurie, I don't know how it works in Indiana, but here, typically, you can accept back-up offers while you have an active contingent offer, but most people don't make back-up offers unless there isn't much inventory out there that is specifically what they want, in their price-range, desired neighborhood, etc. They will look for something else that doesn't have a contingency tying it up. What a contingent offer does to you is it ties up your property, and you cannot take a better offer until the contingency either is cleared or runs out (the date passes). This happened to my BIL and he ended up getting royally screwed in the process. He accepted a contingency offer that didn't pan out and then he simply ran out of time to accept a solid offer so ended up having to do a short sale on his house.

I suppose you could write the offer up with the contingency but also have a part of the contingency that says if you get another offer that is equal but has no contingency you can go back to the first offer, inform them, and they have the first right of refusal before you cancel the first offer and accept the first offer. But, anyway, that is just what I am pondering.

However, as you said, a contingent offer would be better than nothing at this point. It sounds like the market there is just extremely inactive.

Good luck with the job interview today although by now you have been there, done that!

I am waiting for the gas man....still.....I was messed up and thought he was to come yesterday when it was actually scheduled for today. Grrrr....

Pat, glad you had a nice weekend, but I do understand the push this week to get things done. I'm also glad you found an armband for your phone!

I'm going to head out and get some things done. I'll probably show up later. Have a great day.

Hi friends.......

Nancy, so sorry you have been sick, but glad you are feeling better.

Today, we got our gas turned back on and I got a shower! Don't take hot water for granted my friends!

Carrie, I saw on FB you were having problems updating your Apple products. I hope you got that resolved.

Laurie, how did your interview go?

Pat, good going on your walk distance!

I didn't do much today except deal with little fires with the sale of our house and buying the next one, and take a shower!

Alright, I've got to go now and print off a bunch of stuff for the buying of the next house. Talk to everyone tomorrow.

good evening Friends.

Thought I'd pop in before going to bed.

We haven't had internet all day. Just got it back an hour or so ago.

Interview was fine. Now we just wait and see. She did say she would contact me either way so that's goo.

No Lizzy, the market sucks here right now. We're dropping the price tomorrow to see if we get any nibbles.

I'm exhausted so going to bed

good afternoon. It is definitely quiet here. I know all of us have many things going on that are taking our time.
Nancy, sorry you were so sick, but glad you are better.
Lizzy, glad you are able to stay on top of the little fires. It makes sense what you are doing with the school albums. Especially if some were not completed anyway.

Well, this am I went for a walk. It was shorter than I wanted, but Jim told me that I have increased my speed which is good. I walk the same distance but faster. I want to get up to a solid 5k which is slow happening. I love walking the playground support group. Some of them pass me 2 or 3 times as they do a couple laps (3.1 mi each).
Once home, I went to work on some society paperwork and now I am working on society album pages. I had issues with the MB this am, but was able to get in, so decided to post a quick note while I could.
I needed the computer to print out photo labels for the pages.
I think I have decided to go to the 3 day crop mid August. It's not so much the money as it is being ready with enough things to work on. If I just didn't have this meeting looming.

We have tomatoes ripening everyday which is awesome. We planted several varieties. We also have tons of volunteer plants that came up in the compost. Might end up freezing some for sauces/soups.

Carrie, I also saw your FB post about the Apple updates. I trust they have got it under control by now.

Well, enough of my babbling. Hello to Paula and Rhonda also. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello ladies!! :)

Busy, busy!

SIL and her hubby left yesterday to go north. Today we are heading to the cottage so we will be able to spend more time with them before they head back to NH.

Lizzy, my niece Susan lives in Cary and Katie in Clayton. Where is that in relation to you? Hope all is going well with getting everything ready for your move.

Nancy, sorry you were sick, glad you are feeling better.

Laurie, you are crafting up a storm!! ;) Glad the interview went well...now to wait.

Rhonda, where are you?? What have you been up to?

Pat, I see the bugs were after you. Good job getting your walks in. I vote yes for the Aug. crop, hehe. I know what you mean though about being ready. I should start now for my Nov. weekend.

Carrie, oh Carrie, did we lose you??

Well, I guess that's it for now. We will be back Sun.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!!! :)

Good morning!

Laurie I hope you get the job! I don't think you need to feel guilty about it. You do not know when your house will sell and when it does sell you will have a couple of months before you can really be ready to actually leave.

Paula I hope you enjoy your time at eh cottage!

Pat I like how you mention your volunteer tomato plants! BigGrin I have a volunteer sunflower (from the bird seed) and just decided to let it grow since it was already in a flower bed.

Lizzy I had a week or two when we didn't have hot water growing up. Our water heater broke and by the time someone could come it was almost a week. When they came they had the wrong water heater so we had to wait another week. We heated water to use in the tub.

Rhonda I hope all is going well for you!

I got up way too early today. That is why I actually have time to get on here!! I am glad it is Friday. I have drop ins again today. Next week will be low since one family will be on vacation and that is a family of 3 (the kids anyways). I also will only be open M - W. We will be going up north on Thursday and will be there through Monday. Our last little vacation of the year. I hope to take a few pictures of Carter while we are up there. I will at least get a start on his Senior pics.

Rick is home today and he is putting shelves in our old shed. He did one a week ago and now he will get the other shelf up. I will be nice to have that one organized. He plans on putting a couple of things into that shed from his garage to give him more room in the garage. I just want to be able to get at things easily and not have to move out a mower and a snowblower to get the the stuff in the back of the shed.

Well kids are here.

Have a great day!

good morning and happy Friday.
Paula, have fun at the cottage this weekend. I think I have enough page kits ready to take to a 3 day crop. It is just all the other stuff that is not organized. Like extra papers and embellishments I might need. I will only have a couple days to gather those things when I get home from ME. I really would like to have some scrapbooking time though and this is a great crop.

Lizzy, hope everything is going well for you and you found the things you needed and are getting the boxes in the garage worked through. Jim & I were talking about a plan for our garage. I really would like to use it this winter for a car. Especially when it snows. One less in the driveway to shovel out.
What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?
I have a list a mile long, so will be busy with trip prep. Would love to get into the yard, but not seeing that happen with the bugs. I have a flower bed that needs cleaning up on the side yard. LOTS of cutting back of plants.

Nancy, I see you snuck in while I was typing. Hard to believe Carter is going to be a Senior. Hope you can get a few good pics. Organizing our shed is one of the things on my mile long list. A lot of stuff out there will just be hauled to the dump.

I am off to the grocery store. I need some salad fixings.

Looks like everyone has been busy.

Paula, hope you are enjoying your time up North!

Nancy, I agree about being able to get to things in the garage and shed without having to move things. Glad you have had a few easy days this week. It is hard to believe Carter will be a Senior this year! Wow!

Pat, sorry you have been having such trouble with those nasty little bugs. But you have been doing awesome on your walking. Jim too! I wish I could find a walking buddy. I like to walk to not so fun by yourself! Are you ready for your society meeting coming up?

Laurie, I love the art projects you have been working on. I will keep my fingers crossed that your interview will be successful.

I haven't done anything exciting this week. I have brought work home every night and have some to do this weekend. I want to get some cleaning done as I will be hosting a family gathering here next weekend for my brothers and sister and their families and my kids and grand-kids. And we are finally having rain - so much that there is some localized flooding in the area. But now the weeds are coming back in the flower bedsGlare Always something to keep busy with. And I am hoping to get back to crafting and research too!

UGHHH - I really hate this security thing. It never works on the first time!

good Sunday morning...
We have been having some gorgeous fall type weather lately and it has really been nice for our walking.
Rhonda, I hope that being busy at work is a good thing. At least it shows you are needed. Jim has been very busy also. His customers are all gov't, so they are part of the mandatory furlough. Sometimes he has to cover for them at meetings. Not a huge deal, but it requires planning on his part.
I am working on being ready for the meeting next week. I still have the scrapbook pages to finish up. Hopefully I can do that this evening. It is just one of the many last minute things that I am dealing with. My heart just isn't in them and I do not like being in the basement working. I really like to have a window and some natural light. I am still hopeful for the addition on the house and kitchen remodel.
I also want to get back to the pictures I got from my Mom. We are hoping to get back to CA for some research. Many doors were opened from info on the back of the pics.
I have decided to do the 3 day crop when I get back from ME. Pretty sure I have enough to work on and I will just have to figure out how to get extra paper together I might need, as well as embellishments.
Lizzy, I know these last weeks in CA will be busy and hectic for you. I hope that everything is moving smoothly.
Hello to everyone else. I am going to finish up the odds and ends from last night and get started on the next batch of *to do*.
Hope you all have a beautiful Sunday

Hello ladies!

We got home around 6ish and went to a friends for a gathering. I have had a headache every day since Thur. SIL gave me Excedrin migraine yesterday and it helped so we stopped and got some on the way home. Feeling pretty good now but I am hoping the caffeine in it won't keep me up tonight.

Lizzy, I can't believe you through a yard sale together so quick. Hope it you are happy with the outcome.

I will catch up tomorrow, need to head to bed. My house for tomorrow asked me to come another day because she has weekend company that is still there. The only day I have open is Fri. so that means I can sleep in tomorrow but will have a full week after that.

Hi friends,

The garage sale was pretty successful. We sold about $400 worth of stuff when all was said and done. We still have some stuff here, but I'm leaving it on the driveway and Salvation Army is getting it this next Monday. If someone comes and asks for it, they can have it. I was going to drive some of it up to LA for Kat and Terry told me it wasn't worth the trouble. It's old stuff, falling apart, nasty...he told me my time was too valuable for that. So, I'm not going to do it.

Tomorrow, I am going to the doctor. I have two spots, one on my scalp and one on my face, that need looking at and maybe are precancerous (or worse). I want her to take a look and decide what needs to be done. I also want to tell her I am moving and tell her good-bye. She's been a fabulous physician. I will miss her.

There are all sorts of errands to run as well as odds and ends to do here. Terminix did not do all the work on the house that needed to be done. Frank did some of it and the painters did some of it. Now, I need to figure out how to get a letter prepared that says these other people did the work and then give it to the people buying the house. I want to do it properly so I just do it once; rather than doing it and having to redo it. What a PITA. Damn Terminix! If they would have just done the entire job!

The other errands are taking left-over OLD paint and other hazardous items to the hazardous waste dump, calling about taking stuff that needs to be shredded to a shredding place, calling the staging guy to come get his stuff, etc. I am planning to spend the late afternoon and evening with Kelly and the kids and I need to get Kaitlyn and birthday gift. I have a really nice book for her but want to get her something else as well. I also didn't get Kelly anything for her birthday, either...so I need to think about that one as well.

On Tuesday, I am having dinner with another friend and I'm hoping that will take care of the dinner obligations!

I have my scrapbook boxes in the house to go through and repack. I will do that as time allows. I also have scrapping stuff in the garage that I packed with the idea in mind that I would be able (sometime) to do some scrapping so I have my tools and my kits ready to go. I will look at all that stuff and make sure it's as I thought it was and make sure all that stuff goes into my car so when we get to our temporary housing, I will have scrapping to do!

Since I am planning to tear my school books apart and redo them, I will include them in my stuff to take with me. Whatever else I take in my car will all depend on how much room I have. I will need my clothes (1 small, 1 large suitcase), laptop rolling bag that holds laptop and iPad with miscellaneous papers, and my scrapping stuff which will be my pink bag and possibly one other tote. That will be about it. So, I don't know what else will go in my car. I could possibly bring more scrapping stuff....my big, huge paper box?

Laurie, I hope you hear from the furniture store Monday or Tuesday!! Also, any nibbles after you dropped the price of the house? What else have you been up to?

Rhonda, sorry you are bringing work home. However, your get-together with your family sounds really great!

Pat, you are busy getting ready for your Society meeting. And, your 3-day crop as well.

Nancy, I'm so glad you will be getting away again! I can't believe you have another Senior Year coming up!!

Paula, sorry about all the headaches lately. Those are NO GOOD!

OK, ladies, I need to go. Miss Ruby is having a fit. Terry is outside working on some stuff and she knows he is around, but not in the house and she is fussing and whining like crazy. Poor baby!

good Monday morning.. I started a post, got interrupted a couple times and lost it before I was finished, when the MB timed out. I am at the point this week, where I have to do something when I think of it. I have laundry going right now and will have one more load tomorrow. I want to take our pink walking shirts with us, but will need them for the walk tomorrow evening with the playground group.

It is gorgeous this am and I wish I could be outside on the deck working on the old pictures or even my research. I hate the last few days leading up to the meetings. So much last minute stuff every time.
I am looking forward to seeing Maine, but I just have so much to do here at home.

Lizzy, so glad the garage sale was successful. $400 is nothing to sneeze at. I often sit stuff on the curb I want to get rid of. And often someone snaps it up. Works for me.
I think bringing scrapbooking to work on in temp housing is a good idea. I used to take cards to work on when I traveled with Jim. Seems like you will be driving 2 cars?

Paula, sorry about the headaches. I would worry if I had them that long. Anyway, take it easy and chill tody if you can.

I need to switch out laundry and then print out a picture and some handouts for when I walk. I just want pink cards with the playground website on them.
I will check back later.
