JoJoy - I forget what part of the Midwest you're from; we're Central Illinois (Peoria area). We could get three to six inches. I'm not looking forward to it. We still have four inches laying there from last week that has not melted very much at all. The roads are clear for the most part; but, that's all I have to say about that. You can't really walk safely along the sides of the streets.
It's really cold this morning, too. You can really feel the dampness.
All I can say is I'm glad I don't live in the Northeastern states. They have really gotten the bad end of things the last few years. I do feel for them........so, I should not complain.

I'm in Baltimore MD we haven't had any real snow this year, last year i think our biggest was a few inches, so our last big snow was 2010 we had like 33 inches..but they are calling for some snow starting tomorrow night and Wednesday could get 5-12 inches so who knows. Being retired i don't have to go out in it so bring it on,lol.

Char Char,
I live in a suburb of Chicago, but work in Chicago. Can't complain too much, we didn't really have any measurable snow until February. We still have mountains of snow around from last week's storm. I take the subway part of the way, and the line I take will have more delays and more people from another line they are repairing. Okay, enough of my complaining......it could be worse. And by the end of the week we should be around 40!

We actually aren't expecting any snow up here in Northern Maine but for what we already have it wouldn't matter anyway. We just got 17 or 18 inches in our last storm the other day but life continues on. I did, however, have to laugh when we received our new pool catalog in the mail because there is a sale on the chemicals to open up the pool for summer. They must not realize that my pool is currently one large ice cube as we still have a ways to go for warmer weather.

Don't think we're expecting much here in Cleveland, but I do have to drive down to Columbus (2 hours south) for an all day teacher workshop on Wednesday with some of the other teachers I work with. No real chance of it being cancelled, so I have to just hope the roads will be okay.

I woke up this morning for the first time in MONTHS with no snow. The weather man just showed we could get up to 20 inches tonight into tomorrow. I am sooooooooooooooooo over this white stuff. My dogs on the other hand love, love, love it. So at least 2 creatures in our home will be happy. I just keep thinking about spring, and then the beach. I can't wait.

The snow has started here! By work we may get around 6 inches. Back home, 8 or more. I just keep thinking, it is already March.

I guess I should be ready since we haven't had a "real" winter in Maryland in 3 years. Although the distance between home and work is 7 minutes, these 5 inches they are calling for will make that commute about a s-l-o-w 30 minutes. The only thing that concerns me is the kids started state exams today and I wonder how this could throw their planned scheduled off if school is closed.

It has been snowing fairly hard here since 5:30am....and six hours later, still snowing. The snow is melting on the roads....34 deg.! BUT, you can definitely see accumulation on the sidelines. Our backyard must have a foot of snow by now. There may have been seven or eight inches from the past ten days out there that had not melted one bit since it snowed a few times before. It is really beautiful, actually! I just looked out again, from ground level (lower level). It's more like six inches deep....but, the drifting is about a foot deep in many areas of our back yard. We are on a cornfield (yes, in the middle of town....on a deadend street). We do get blowing snow from the north from time to time and got it this past week. I'm in central NJ & would love a big snow storm tomorrow or tomorrow night! Even better if we could have a snow day on thursday, so I can have a day off from work (as I am a teacher's aide)!
Seeing forecasts saying 2-4", another says 3-6", yet another says 5-10". I guess we are getting snow, just how much they don't know yet!

We are in Boston, Massachusetts. Expecting about 12 inches on Thursday. Really not looking forward to it. I guess it's easier for me because I grew up in Russia. What can we do? Spring will come sooner or later, better sooner of course :)

I'm in Columbus, Ohio, and they could not decide what we were getting rain, then , then all snow, then rain and snow. Well here we got 4 inches and its melting like mad, we are one big mushy slushy place. North and west suburbs got 8-9, east of town they got 1 inch. All i want to say is bye bye snow! Hellooooo Spring! and hopefully we will hit 50 in a few days. BJR.

Central MA here, we've had a little bit of everything all day but they're still predicting up to a foot tonight. We got 3 ft during Nemo, another 8" in the last storm and now this. Blech! C'mon Spring!

Well, I ended up with around 9" by me. It was supposed to be in the 40's for several days and now, of course, that has changed. I'M READY FOR SPRING!!!!
