A little history first... I've had my machine for almost 2 years now. Shortly after my one year warranty was up the silver nut that we tighten to hold the housing blade in place stopped tightening. It would just spin and spin.
Luckily since I was so close to my warranty the person who helped me was able to get the ok to send me another silver piece and my machine was up and running...
Over the year since I've had to increase the pressure and blade depth to get a good cut.
Now my machine will not cut consistantly.
Some times it will tear the paper cut edges like the blade isn't rotating correctly.
Sometimes it will not cut all the way through the paper.
Sometimes it will cut ok. (Unfortunately this is happening less and less)
I am using the exact same cuts, sizes, etc.
I am using the exact same paper. (from the same package)
I am using the exact same settings on my machine.
I've replaced the blade multiple times.
I've done the machine reset.
It seems as though the blade isn't always engaging properly. My fear is that when the nut came loose originally that it damaged my blade housing and now I'm experiencing its complete failure.
Is buying a new blade housing for
$30 the best fix I can hope for?
If I can buy a deep blade housing will they work with the regular housing blades.
(not sure my local stores are carrying them anymore)
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Have I forgotten anything I should try?
