I have tried my C Exp on several paper thickness, different cuts and settings. They are all ripping the paper and no nice neat cuts. I have been disappointed so far. Any instructions? Also is there a tutorial online on how to get started with the right settings? Thanks

Try changing the blade. My first Cricut was delivered with a bad blade and I've had two more defective ones over the last 4 years.

Is your paper thinner if so you need to lower your blade pressure, otherwise it will tear every time..........

You can call customer service and tell them about your blade, not sure how long it takes them to send you a replacement. But also try the settings, and it depends on the paper you are using, i generally use card stock and vinyl.

I can on here to check for a solution to this very same problem. Took the advice of these kind "Cricuteers" and lowered my setting. Each cut is now perfect!! Thank you!

Go to aboverubiesstudio.com and download the cutting guide she has there. It is free. There are several pages. Do remember that each machine is just a bit different but these are wonderful guidelines to start with even if you do have to adjust them a bit. Also is your blade turned right in the machine. The arrow pointing to your blade setting should be faceing front toward you.
