I have never seen those before but I have an idea that they were made for someone who possible have carpal tunnel or have a hard time gripping the smaller skinner needle so they are made with a large handle in order for them to grip them. Instead of having to buy a new handle they made it so it is interchangeable to cut the cost. . . of having to buy each one with the handle in different sizes.

I bought a set so I'll let you know when I get them. I love crocheting borders on afghans and scarves.

Hi,

I've got these crochet hooks. They also come with a Knifty Knitter hook as well. I love them. I wish Provocraft still sold them. The handles were designed by someone that has Multiple Sclerosis.

I have arthiritis and Cerebral Palsy, and these hooks allow me to crochet. One handle is a thicker standard crochet hook. The second one is more of a latch hook style handle.

The one criticism I've heard about them is that if you crochet quickly, the hooks unscrew from the base. I don't have that issue, so they work fine for me.

Take care,

Susan

Hi,
Cricutmachine.com has the knift knitter and the crochet set on sale right now.
All the knifty knitters are $5.00 each and the crochet package is 9.99.
Hope this helps, Anni
